Yeah I know alot of people don't know what GITS is so ill take this opportunity to enlighten you. First off GITS was started by Masamune Shirow Creator of other mangas and animes such as Appleseed, Black Magic, Gundress and Dominion Tank Police. Theres many different versions of GITS theres the manga, movie and TV series which all have there own differences.<br><br>Theres 2 movies to date the First Movie Ghost in the Shell Directed by Mamoru Oshii and the second movie Ghost in the Shell Innocence which just came out on DVD Dec. 28 2004 is also directed by Mamoru Oshii. The movies are mostly Shirows vision of GITS but just directed by a different man. The movies are more adult then the TV series and goes into alot of phlisophical ideas about life but also has its action scenes.<br><br>The mangas on the other hand are completly Masumune's ideas and drawings. THe first manga has been out for awhile Ghost in the Shell you can get this made by Darkhorse comics but make sure you get version 2 to get the cut stuff. The second manga Ghost in the Shell Man Machine Interface is totally different from the first.<br><br>As of right now CN is showing the first GITS tv Series GITS:Stand Alone complex on at 12:30 EST PM this series is directed by Kenji Kamiyama. This series seems to shows alot more of the GITS world and is more action oriented then the movies are. The second TV series will be coming to america in fall 2005 GITS:SAC Second GIG.<br><br>GITS also has a few games you might wanna check out the first being for PS1 where you take control of a tank and fight your way through the levels.
