They get to the Leyline and in the end it comes down to Hazanko v Gene. Melfina is with everyone else on the Outlaw Star, however a piece of her (aka the Maiden of the Leyline) stays behind. The Crew of the Outlaw Star defeat Hazanko in a surrealistic battle, during which it is the teamwork of the crew that wins the day.
They return to the planet that early in the series Gene had launched from without clearance, causing damage to the spaceport. He is promptly arrested. Once again, Fred Lo bails him out (Gene will NEVER be out of debt
) Sazuka and Aisha elect to stay behind, as Gene, Jim, and Mel head off to (I don't remember, it's not important)
After a short bit, the Outlaw Star breaks down - the result of skipping maintenance to save $$$. A service ship comes and makes the needed repairs, and secretly deliver Sazuka and Aisha... I don't recall Sazuka's excuse for coming along, but Aisha gives something about how they "owe her" and until they pay, she owns everything anyway... (typical Aisha)
They all fly off into the .... er.... sunset.
