From what I've read it has characters from a lot of CLAMP's other mangas.

Syaoran, an archaeologist, and Sakura, the princess of the Kingdom of Clow, are the best of friends, perhaps even more than just friends. Not having the chance the day before to tell Syaoran that she loved him, Sakura made a visit to the excavation site where he was working. A symbol of gigantic proportions had been found on the ground of one of the underground tunnels. Sakura, upon touching the strange emblem, lost all of her heart and memories. She became an empty shell, unconscious. Syaoran's mission: journey through different worlds and dimensions in order to find Sakura's memories!

I've been keeping up with TRC too CY. So far I've downloaded and watched 23 episodes as well as read all of the U.S. published manga. It's odd in a way because it uses a great deal of CLAMP's characters from past series, yet they don't look exactly like their original selves. They all look like TRC characters. XD The plot setup closely resembles that of Magic Knight Rayearth where three heroes have to rescue a princess. The three leads are guys, but their personalities are very similar to those of the Magic Knights -

Syaoran = Hikaru
Kurogane = Umi
Fye = Fuu

It would be a stretch to call Sakura = Emeraude, but she fills essentially the same role. Now that the first season is reaching its ending climax, the story is getting very interesting. At the end of episode 23 the stage has been set for a confrontation similar to what happened in Rayearth episode 10 where Umi had to rescue both Hikaru and Fuu from a villian. Now the task falls to Kurgane.

I sometimes read the manga but it's really quite good. ^_^

I've been enjoying this anime a lot. I love the music and the story is interesting. It's like CLAMP the anime, everyone is there ^_~ I've only seen about 10, but I'm going to get the rest soon.
