No one is saying Washu is inferior. The arguement is if Washu is superior. She is not superior.

One step further, we shall go. Of all of Washu's "things", they can be copied, except for her goddess gems. As for Tsunami: Tenchi can not be copied, the spaceship trees can't either, I believe (or else Jurai wouldn't have production problems, probably).

Comparison between Ryoko's powers and Tenchi's. What powers? Ryoko has no real power! She's fairly weak without any gems (replica or real), right? With replica gems, she's still no where near the goddess most people proclaim her to be. With the exception of the Washu gems, Ryoko can be copied all the way through. Tenchi, on the other hand, is something else that can't be produced... Kagato couldn't copy his attack, and I'm willing to bet they can't make a copy of Tenchi that can form lighthawk wings, either (Washu did hundreds of tests and couldn't explain Tenchi's power, remember?).

Washu is cool and all, but I don't think she's superior. In fact, she's alarmingly weak (like all of us). Imagine if a villain like Mastermind, or (something a lot more powerful) Shadow King, tried messing with Washu. What do you think would happen??

**She's already in the form of a 12 year old because she can't stand the way adults live and act. This is a sign that losing her love and her baby have scarred her. She's vulnerable.**

On the flip side, Tsunami's not doing rocket science and Tokimi's too shy to come into our little galaxy and collect her sisters herself. They aren't more impressive than Washu.

Side-note: Sometimes, I get the feeling it's going to take cooperation between Washu and Tsunami to handle Tokimi. It makes sense... 2 to 1. It takes 2 to out-vote 1, anyway.

"Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Tsunami created her tree form, in the same way that Washu created her gems & her human form. All the other Juraian trees are the offspring of the original. And just as replica gems are inferior to Washu's original gems, these trees are inferior to the original. With each generation, they get less powerful. 3rd-generation trees, for example, have to team up to form even a single Light Hawk Wing. 4th-generation trees and beyond can't even do that; a thousand of them combining their power would still result in zero Wings.

BTW, I tend to think that Tokimi is incapable of coming in to collect Tsunami and Washu herself. Or at least incapable of doing so in a way she's willing to. Remember, neither Tsunami nor Washu entered "our" universe in their original forms. Washu came as a pseudo-human, and Tsunami came as a tree. Perhaps Tokimi is unwilling to make such a sacrifice to enter, and thus she employs others to do her bidding.

Yes, I'm aware of all of that (about the generations), but you still can't copy them. The spaceship trees and Tenchi are, in a sense, powered by the essence of their being. That's one that's hard to explain.

Washu's things are centered around the laws of our universe and can be duplicated. Ryoko without her gems is fairly powerless.

All that's really saying is that each goddess is powerful in their own regard.

And the last paragraph was like a peace offering... I meant all of that in humor. o.O

You can't deny the details. You seem hung up on this inferior thing.

"Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Well, there is substantial evidence that Tenchi's LHWs are more powerful than Ryu-oh's. Tokimi was, after all, at a loss to explain how Tenchi could be as powerful as he is with only three LHWs.

I like the Goddess-Triforce theory, each goddess has a different kind of power (like Legend of Zelda) Tsunami is courage, Washu is wisdom, and Tokimi is power. Also, Soja was directly created with some of Washu's power, which wasnt divided that much, so of course it could take down Ryu-Oh because Ryu-Oh was a decendant from Tsunami, and its power wasnt very directly connected with Tsunami (there are many spaceship trees). And to explain Tenchi "destroying" Soja, I think Soja and Kagato were linked like Ryoko and Ryo-Oki, except that Soja is less independent than Ryo-Oki (Ryo-Oki is almost fully organic, while Soja only shows some signs of being living, like taking Ryoko's power) When Tenchi "killed" Kagato, it caused a disruption in Soja because of the link, so Soja got destroyed.
"I'm the greatest, and I can't possibly be beat!- Cassius Clay aka Muhammed Ali"I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"- Robert Oppenheimer

It's kinda like with a Evangelion and it's pilot. But it goes bouth ways.
The pilot "feels" what the Eva feels.

That also sounds like Pilot Candidate. In the AMHV's (Advanced Mechanized Humanoid Vehicle), Pro ING's (trainer variant of the AMHV), and the Goddesses (massive, incredibly powerful AMHV's) the pilot's consciousness fuses with the suit's. This increases the pilot's abilities, but whatever damage is done to the suit, the pilot suffers comparable damage to his own body!

It's an age-old idea that's existed as long as the Japanse obsession with Super-Robots.

The idea of the mech being nothing more but an extension of the body of it's pilot.

It's used as a plot device in MOST shows. Though certainly Evangelion takes it a huge step forward with the idea of the EVANGELION.

Ten years ago, something happened.
Something small.
