09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.

Nothing is free. I say we let Cartoon Network know that when we stop watching their stinking channel and their affiliates decide that advertising on their air time is a waste of good money.

PS. If you call Satellite and cable free Yujenisis, you must have a strange concept of real living. You must be about 14 with your first part-time job or something. You feel the power of buying and somehow think everyone is getting small things like food, shelter, and all the channels on TV for "free". If Cartoon Network keeps showing crap, I'll probably stop paying for cable and just not use the TV for anything but video games.

"Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Cartoon Network and it's parent company Turner Networks don't make money off subscriptions like other channels like HBO and ShowTime enjoy.

Your paying for the service of your PROVIDER not for Cartoon Network as a channel. Therefor it's free, by the fact that THEY do not make a profit off you watching them directly, which is why they have advertisements.

They wont stop showing crap they are making what they see as wise business decisions. While these are arguable, heck, I think they are being morons (Thundercats?!) but it doesn't change that they believe they are making intelligent decisions.

And like we both agree. If you don't like it do something else or try and solve the problem. In your case it would be to use your TV for video games, only which is appropriate and makes sense.

For others it might be saving up and buying your own copies of uncut Anime or turning to fansubs to explore more shows besides Tenchi. Personally, I enjoy Anime so I chose this one and it's served me well. I am not going to rely on Cartoon Network any longer, but I am not going to complain about it because the people who DO rely on it are still getting an excellent deal. All they need to do is deal with their stupid programming decisions, the silly edits, and advertisements and in return they get free Anime. Good deal considering I have a job which I spend a little of my money on Anime and fansubs with.

Ten years ago, something happened.
Something small. Yuj, CN does, however, get paid by their advertisers. And the amount that they're paid is directly influenced by their ratings. They want us to watch their shows & keep the ratings high, so why should we just sit by quietly when they pull the shows we want to watch? Does complaining accomplish anything? Maybe not. But sitting aound doing nothing certainly accomplishes nothing.

But regardless, the only thing I watch on CN these days is Gundam 0083. Everything else they have that's of any interest to me, I've seen at least a dozen times, own on DVD, or both.

Yujenisis, those are good well-thought replies. Just thought I'd pay you a compliment (as if you need a compliment).

And that's my point, too. Sitting around complaining on a forum will not change the fact that Cartoon Network is toying with us by changing shows every 2 weeks.

My solution is to simply stop watching them. It's the reason I stopped watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. If people stop watching a show, they'll get rid of it, hopefully. Apparently, Dragon Ball Z will never go off since so many people are willing to watch the same episodes a million times.

I'm willing to watch Tenchi Episodes a million times, but I guess the majority of people out there don't find Tenchi as amusing and entertaining. That's my honest feelng is that the Tenchi fanbase can't keep Tenchi on the air nonstop. But Thundercats?! Why couldn't they put Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on or something? Anything but Thundercats again.

And that's my solution to the problem, too. Fan-subbed anime. All you want. Every show you want. It's out there, somewhere on the internet, for you to download. If you don't want to pay $80-$120 on DVD sets and get disowned by your parents (losing your college fund and everything else), you'll work to get what you want.

In fact, I can look on Kazaa and see every Tenchi in Tokyo Episode on there. It might take you a while, but if you want the shows enough to cuss and complain on here for hours, you could already be watching the episode by the time you're finished griping about Cartoon Network.

I am very thankful to have Cartoon Network, too. If it wasn't for their Toonami segment, I'd still be sitting around asking friends "What's anime? What's this Dragon Ballz show I keep hearing about?? It sounds gay." Sadly, I would have never watched Tenchi Muyo if not for the Cartoon Network. I wouldn't even be here typing this big long pointless boring post. :-P

Oh my gosh, I'd probably be making something of myself if not for Toonami. Wouldn't want that to happen.... *lol*

"Me eat you up! Me eat you up! Me eat you up! You turn into a cookie!" - Majin Buu

Fansubs are a gray area in terms of piracy. The shows are played on Japanese TV (People copy them using a digital system, like a TiVo only designed for converting it to a video file to be editted on a system. The shows are not copyrighted in the US. When you download a show that has been ripped from a US Distribution of an Anime you ARE stealing. It is not a fansub, your taking the work that a company did, expecting that if you wanted it rather than stealing from them you will buy it.

Just keep that in mind. Fansubs are subbed by people who love Anime and offer their translation and subbing services for FREE to people who want some Anime. Once a show is picked up for distribution in the US, they stop distributing that show because it has been copyrighted in the US, which makes it illegal to distribute. Often fansubs are used for shows that have not or willl not be released in the US. Shows that US companies feel will not appeal to American audiences (This is unfortunate because often the BEST of Japanese Animation is the distinctly Japanese shows, which they don't buy because they think they wouldn't be popular shows.)

Ten years ago, something happened.
Something small. I know it's inaccurate.

The one good thing about the copyrighted material is that it's not quite like downloading MP3s of mainstream music hits. It's not quite the same (despite a broken law). I agree, I usually downloaded a few eps from a series, to see it is worth buying, as anime costs so much it is good to be able to see what a series it like before you spend about £90 on it.

"There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world.
