Here's the deal, Naja was washu's first and best friend @ the academy, when she died (which she did), it was too much trauma for washu after loosing her husband and son. Washu did all she could to bring her back but when she could not, Washu attempted to make a clone of her with the same personality and memory, thus explaining Kagayo and why he was a hermephredite. Ryoko was supposed to be the second attempt.

I'm new to this Forum...I don't know if this thread is for all Kagato-related discussion, or just for the discussion on his relation to 'Naja'. If it's only for the discussion on Naja and not for general discussion about him, I'm very, very sorry. I don't have much to contribute on the matter of "Naja"...

...But I find Kagato creepy mostly because of what he did to Ayeka. Not just the...Undertones, but what he did before. "Hmmm, those white gentleman's gloves are quite stylish, they really suit Kaga - KYAAAAAAAAAAH NO HAND." It seems like most of what he ended up as, he did to himself. Not sure, but that's what it looks like to me.

I'm guessing he found some way to make himself some kind of energy-based life form...And I believe that's how he was able to use abilities like energy constructs, telekinesis, and phasing so well. Since his body wasn't entirely corporeal, he was easily able to use non-physical abilities.

And that "shadow" was a real cheap move. Really, it's hard to like him because of how cruel he was, especially to Ryoko...But then, it's hard to hate him with how affable he showed himself to be. Plus, glasses are awesome - I would happen to know, because I wear glasses, and in regards to myself being awesome, well, I'll try to be humble.

...Anyways. Kagato had some pretty awesome final words...Best villain of Tenchi Muyo, I have to say.

"Of course, yes...Tenchi. Same name as the sword. 'Tenchi can't be copied'. Clever plan, Tsunami...

"Congratulations. You've won, boy."

Hehe, yes I do admire Kagato at his ending - cool and calculating to the last. So many villains and super villains meet their endings in groans of pain, anguish, agony, or some combination of those but not Kagato. He deprives the victor of one of the great spoils of war - to watch your enemy suffer.
