"Now, before I go off completely on the sexism that exists in the US (We are the most sexist Western country)" Well, I don't know about that one. When my mother went to England, she was surprised by how openly sexist many people there were. They flatly stated that a man doing the same job as a woman should get paid more because he is either providing the main income or supporting a family while the woman is just either providing secondary income or is unmarried. My mom then said something like "Well, what about the man? He may be unmarried too." Then they said something like "Well, uh, he may get married someday." I can't really vote. I really can't say she's hot due to the fact I'm a female, but I do not believe she is mean or a beast. I like Ryoko becasue... 1. She is related to Washu! 2. She loves Tenchi from the bottom of her heart 3. She's pretty {Washu's prettier though} 4. She one tough cookie 5. She's funny 6. She disses Ayeka 7. She's a diva 8. I don't know, in England now I don't think there are many cases when women are paied less than men just because they are women. I dont think Tenchi wants the middle ground either....In fact I think he likes Ryoko a bit more then any of the other girls.

What position? Are you saying that Tenchi himself constitutes "the middle ground" between Ryoko & Ayeka. If you're saying that by not coming out and choosing either Ryoko or Ayeka, Tenchi proves that neither of them is what he wants, you're way off base. Choosing the woman you love and want to spend the rest of your life with is a bit more serious than choosing whether to wear the black shirt or the tan one. Tenchi might not consciously realize how he really feels about them, but that doens't mean he's in love with neither girl. And even if he currently isn't in love with either of them, that doesn't mean he wants someone who's a "middle ground" between them. He also doesn't want to hurt people. And I'm NOT saying that he's refraining from choosing because he'd hurt the feelings of the one not chosen. What I'm referring to is that I think he doesn't want to rush in until he's sure how he feels. After all, think of how much it would hurt either Ryoko or Ayeka if Tenchi were to start dating her, and they later broke up. Anyway, Tenchi shows plenty of affection to Sasami, but it's always the sort that a big brother has for a little sister. Uh, not quite there yet Red. I am not trying to take a position on what Tenchi  FEELS or  WANTS. Tenchi has not made a choice. That is my bone of contention - his choice, not his feelings. If he has within him certain feelings, he loves Ryoko and wants to marry her, this is fine and I am going along with that. But if these feelings do exist  why does he not act on them??. I already answered that. Because he's not sure how he feels yet. And picking a girl then breaking up with her would hurt her far more than making her wait or even not picking her at all. Yup, it sure is a tough decision and it is best to get everything sorted out first. So I guess for now the middle ground is the best he can do.
