Considering that 99% of dubs suck, and most famous screen actor/tresses are too pompous and proud to humble themselves to be good voice actor/tresses, I would rather not have any famous people do them.<br><br>Infact I would cast the original Japanese voice seiyuu. Why? Because chances are you wont do much better. Anime IS Japanese and dubs try and change that and make it more popularized.<br><br>Learn to read subtitles. It will take about five episodes and be more rewarding than not. <p></p><i></i>

I think this topic was based on a live-action version NOT a re-dub of an existing or new anime version. The idea of a live action Tenchi movie is something a have thought a little about in the past, but I know would be very difficult and expensive to produce. As far as casting goes, I would not use ANY big name stars at all (they would distract from the story), but attempt to find new talent and try to cast them as close to type as possible. The cast I envision would be of mixed Asian and Western actors, with Tenchi's family and any Jurians being Asian and the remaining cast being Western - this is how their appearance and behaviors strike me in the anime show. The greatest casting difficulty would be Ryo-ohki. Since he/she/it is too important to leave out either some form of CG animation or Frank Oz type automation would have to be used, although using a trained animal actor may be possible. Like was done in "Lord Of the Rings" I would make the story the primary focus of a Tenchi movie and not the actors or special effects <p></p><i></i>

Hey, Nick. <br><br>Most of the world accepts what we call the "Hepburn romanization" system for converting Japanese language into roman characters.<br><br>His system which is the most widely accepted in the world (in fact there really isn't any other system) would have the names be the following "Ryoko" (Don't use 'ou' as that is used for long vowel sounds in Japanese), Washu (NO double vowels for short vowel sounds!).<br><br>Only use "ou" or "uu" for long vowel sounds in Japanese. Gillian Anderson has also worked VERY Hard to get where she was. And from what my ex-girlfriend said she is a really nice person (They talked for awhile at the end of a Sci-Fi convention).<br><br>That doesn't mean that most other actors aren't pompous and stuck up because most of them just got the so-called 'big break' without really working hard.<br><br>And those who did work hard rising to the top like Jim Carrey turned into jerks because of how successful they were. <p> <br> <div align="center"><font color="#666666"><i>Ten years ago, something happened.<br> Something small.
