Chibi is Tenchi's cat. Chibi was that cat seen in the first episode. Tenchi found it and tried to heal it and take care of it. The only way it lived was because Ryoko put some of her power into it. When she was awakened however that power went back to her and Chibi died. But to save the cat Ryoko fused Ryo-oki with the cat. FYI as and aside, I have also seen the following used as designations...<br><br>Ryo-Ohki = Little cabbit form / Spaceship form<br>Ryo-Ohki-chan = Little humanoid girl form<br>Ryo-Ohki-san = Older humanoid woman form (seen only in "I Love Tenchi")<br><br>These refs have been in print (net and paper) but I have no idea if they were used in the Japanese dub or not. <p><p align="center"><ahref="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/crusade.htm"><imgsrc="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo4.jpg"></a></p><p align="center"><ahref="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/menagerie.htm"><imgsrc="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/jcmenagerie.jpg" width="400"height="70"></a></p></p><i></i> |

"-chan" is a common courtesy title given to young children, so this would only apply to Ryo-ohki in her humanoid child form.
