Ah, Thats because the bibles you know arent the complete edition. The Catholic Church censored the bible so much almost half was left out. Evangelion takes the Cabbalistic perspective on things. Lillith to them was what ALL life on Earth was born from. She was of course created by God, to produce mankind.
