09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.
A "retread" is a worn-out tire that has a new tread put on it, instead of being replace with a new tire. It's a common practice in the trucking industry to cut costs. In this context, though, it means simply a re-used concept. A character who's almost identical to a previous character in every way (in terms of personality & motives as well as appearance) would be a retread.

The REAL Happy Couple

Well no I'm thinking mostly design, IE appearance.

But to expand...

I see Pretty Sammy as using retreads of the TM cast, even Tenchi Universe to some extent...

Another example would be Soja, it appears as Washu's Fortress in the Mihoshi special and then again as someone else's ship in another TM series (Can't remember but it was pink...)

Maybe I'm over reacting.........

NAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

<ahref="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/crusade.htm"><imgsrc="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/promo4.jpg">

<ahref="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/menagerie.htm"><imgsrc="http://www.bcpl.net/~yorokobi/jcmenagerie.jpg" width="400"height="70">

Well, the whole Mihoshi Special was pretty much Mihoshi turning her account of the events into something closer to a bedtime story than to an accurate reporting of the case. So chances are, the made scientist in the actual events didn't have a fortress that looked like Souja.

The REAL Happy Couple

I had someone translate some of the text on the pictures.
On the one of Kagami as a child it says:

"My son,
now I give you the name: Kagami." (or, use the name: Kagami from now on.)

Does this mean he was adopted? He's a little old to not have a name. Unless he was created, and was born at that age.
Vist my board:http://pub95.ezboard.com/bbobnation

He might well have been "born" at that age. After all, Ryoko was born fully grown. And it would make more sense than him being adopted; somebody who resembles Kagato that much is surely related to him.

Or maybe Kagami is actually Naja's son; since Kagato is an altered clone of her, that would certainly explain the resemblance.

The REAL Happy Couple

Or whatever species Kagato and Naja are all look like that.

Besides, Kagami has straight hair, while Kagato and Naja both have wavy hair. So he either a child of one of them, Kagato found him, or he was created. Although his hair eliminates him from being a clone.

<wishes she had that book.
Vist my board:http://pub95.ezboard.com/bbobnation
Edited by: 00Galaxia00 at: 9/9/02 8:03:18 pm

Yes, those are bassed in the Naoko Hasegawa novels. Or to a more familiar reference, they are based in the 'Daughter of 'Darkness' Universe brance of Tenchi continuims(sp?).
Ö¿Ö"It can be a long journey to find what your looking for, but it's a hundred times worth the effort when it's finally found"

Oi, to whoever said they remembered a pink Soja, it was in Tenchi in Tokyo as Ryoko + Washu's ship... I think.

Kagami... that sounds familiar... ?

There was a Kagami on Ayashi No Ceres, and Kiyone's ship is Yagami, is that what you're thinking of?

Vist my board:http://pub95.ezboard.com/bbobnation
