As Galaxia said, the first episodes of OAV3 are scheduled to be released in Japan at some point next year.

Let's hope for a DVD release with the option of English subtitles so that peeps in the UK (and peeps elsewhere with multi-region DVD players) can get to see it ASAP!
---------------------

"Was it the riches of the land, powers of bright darkness, who lead the noble to the East, to fight the heathens... The question then arises over whether or not Japanese videos are compatible with American NTSC systems...

*Knows very little of such things - except that Japan is the same DVD region as the UK*
---------------------

"Was it the riches of the land, powers of bright darkness, who lead the noble to the East, to fight the heathens... They are.
I have a Japanese OAV tape that plays perfectally on my unmodified American VCR.

Japan and the US both use NTSC, it's just our DVD regions are diffrenet. (I guess when they were coming up with reigons, someone's distributors complained and had it made different)
Vist my board:http://pub95.ezboard.com/bbobnation

Well, the DVD's would definately play in an RPC-1 DVD drive on a PC. I think it would work on a RPC-1 DVD Player (TV) also. Since i think film based DVDs are at around 24fps(same as pal) but the only problem is PAL DVDs are either 704x480 or 720x576 where as NTSC DVDs are 720x480.

well, dvd players are region encoded so japanese discs won't play in american players and vice versa. as for playing one in a region 2 player (britian, west europe, & japan), it should work, but i honestly don't know if the video format (pal vs. ntsc) will be converted by the player into whatever is used in that particular country--i imagine that they probably will convert them as a matter of convenience since they did put the two formats into the same region code... i hope they can convert the formats.

but as for vhs, japanese and american tapes are IDENTICAL in every practical respect, and the only significant difference between the player machines is the power supply input for when you plug into the wall (mainly because japan uses a different commercial power rating or than the united states for wall-outlets).
