well mihoshi is a klutz but ryoko doesn't do anything around the house.

You cant really take out any of them because they are all part of the plot. Each character is there for a reason...weather it is for a good plot advancement or comic releaf.

I like them all generally. I mean here's what the series would be like of you took out each one of the girls. No Need For Ryoko: Tenchi, an average high school pupil stays average because he never released Ryoko and because of this Aeka and the rest of the girls never come. Tenchi stays normal for the rest of his life and grows up to be a fat old guy which runs the Masaki shrine, wifeless and childless while spending his time looking at porn with his father. No Need For Aeka: After releasing Ryoko, Sasami falls to Earth in persuit of her fiance Yosho. Ryoko ends up never marring Tenchi because, she has no rival to fight againest to win his love so she finds out *drumroll* Tenchi is a geek! Instead, Washu ends up taking samples from him the rest of his life while Mihoshi screws up everyone's life. No Need For Sasami: After releasing Ryoko, Aeka comes to Earth in persuit of her fiance, Yosho. Mihoshi comes along and everyone doesn't know how to cook so they all die of starvation before Kagato even attacks. Kagato then takes the sword and gems from the lifeless bodies and rukes the universe! No Need For Mihoshi: After releasing Ryoko, Aeka comes to Earth in persuit of her fiance Yosho, with her sister sasami. Then they fight againest Kagato, Wash is never released, Aeka dies (Washu wouldn't be able to pull her in the other dimension before that wall fell on her) and Tenchi would return home with only Sasami and Ryoko. No Need For Washu *shudders at the thought*: Ryoko, a villianous space pirate, is never born and such Yosho never had an excuse to leave Jurai, ultimately commiting suiede sending jurai into choas. Aeka then after kills herself out of grief and Sasami turns hard and bitter due to all the death. Mihoshi is never born and tenchi is never born either. As you can see each girl is vital to the plot and storyline. I would not take one girl or person out of the Tenchi series, because no matter how perverted or little role they may play, each person is vital to the story and taking one person out, can affect the whole series and could make a diiference between a good series and a bad one. Ryoko was just toying with Tenchi in the first episode. She didnt want to kill him, shes loved him since he was a small child. If she wanted to, she could have done that after she regenerated her hand. she Looooooooooooves(imitation of Beth from News Radio) him. hehehe, sorry news radio is my fav non-anime show. Actually, Washu might be released in the "No Need for Mihoshi" scenario.
