Tenchi In Tokyo: Worth Watching?

Instead of just dissagreeing with his oppinion and expressing ur view in detail due to the observations he personally took into account, you have to insult his character personally. What's the point in that? I personally think that TiT was not up to par with TU(but that's my PERSONAL view, be it biased or not), but I'm willing to consider and contradict other's views on the matter. I believe all ur reasons are quite valid(Yuje), even though I view it in a different way, but I refuse to call anyone mentally insufficient for having different views or possibly not fully grasping certain things. If u clearly wer though, I still wouldn't stoop so low as to put someone down personally for their own oppinion unless it was a direct attack upon myself. C'mon we're just expressing our view on a certain subject, no need for insults. Anyways here is MY VIEW on TIT. TiT was not a horrible series, it just wasn't up to par with the OAVs(obvioulsy) and TU in my oppinion. I believe its greatest fault was in the use of the 'TENCHI' title in which it has completely changed some fans perspective on the show(s) and its characters. TU was greatly celebrated by the majority of the fans as I see it. A series isn't really based on the plot or story(but it would be better if it was included eg<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT=":O"> AVs) and animation is very important, especially in an animated show. Now the biggest fall of TiT was in the characters. Sure, TU's characters maybe a little flat, but the characterization is what the majority wanted to see. Remember, most of the Tenchi fandom(Well as I see it) has a personal favorite character. Now this is what I heard of their complaits, though some characters did get recognition. Tenchi(in view of Tenchi fans): his indesisiveness, which was a big part of his character was totally abolished before most fans could see him maturing out of it. Making him seem (OOC) Ryoko(ryoko fans): Tenchi didn't choose her, she was extremely violent/serious and didn't really have that carefree playful type character which most of the fans come to know and love about her in the other series. She did have depth(well in my view at least), but she lacked some characteristics that appealed to her fans. Ayeka(Ayeka fans): They still didn't like the fact Tenchi didn't choose her, but her character was shown in a more mature, matriarch type position which was a plus. Though as I hear it, they still didn't consider TiT better or as good as the other series. Sasami and Ryo-ohki(for their fans): Sasami was practically the same as in Universe but Ryo-ohki and I quote :What the hell is that giant pink F***. Miho/Kiyo(Their fans): this group really got the worse of it, they saw their favorite characters being 'stupified' beyond recognition. Nothing more to say about this. Washu(her fans): I thought she was a genius. her inventions wer attrocious in her fans views and being unable to detect Yugi for like 20+ episodes was a huge insult. Sakuya: for the fans that she had, she was a good/great character, for some, shes a tragic character that deserves sympathy(I'm one of these) but for most/rest of the fans, she's the DEVIL. Concerning certain episodes, the way they face problems and so forth, I personally didn't fancy the purple communication demon and the 'power ranger type fighting' along with their cliche'd remarks that came along with it. Sure this maybe a little part concerning the whole of the series, but just to have things like this happen has clearly tuned out some viewers. They over used the comedy part of the show, and the slapstick was really getting out of hand, But this all refers to the expectations to a show that bears the 'Tenchi' name. All I'm saying is that if this show wer for eg: 'Bob in Tokyo', leaving out the characters, it might have had the chance to be a success. I've always told my friend that Tenchi was an amazing show and my favorite. After he saw the OAVs he, understood why I liked it so much, but when he saw TiT, his interest went away, luckily I showed him TU and he came crawling back. Remember this is my personal view on this matter, and I don't hate TiT, I rather liked it compared to other animes, just not compared to the other Tenchi shows. Well you see you actually explain your opinion you don't simply STATE it. And while I disagree I appreciate that you ACTUALLY do more then state your opinion. Though I will reiterate that you can't really have an 'opinion' on whether something has a plot, it either does or doesn't. TU Has a very weak plot and very weak characters. Shin Tenchi has stronger characters a stronger plot but very bad character designs and animation. None of the series can compare to Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki. I don't have a Superiority Complex I am just sick of people posting topic after topic after topic about Shin Tenchi which everyone says the same things over and over and over bloody again. ^.^ At any one time we have had at least TWO Shin Tenchi topics on the Gen Board at one time. It gets annoying because people post so frivilously, and not only that people are so damn shallow. Shallow is what annoys me about people. There is a difference between having an opinion and having an educated one. Educated can mean simply justifying your opinion. I wish more people did that instead of just saying them. Don't say it, tell me WHY you say it. Hyas you provided me with facts so I can accept your opinion although that whole bit with the character breakdowns lost me. Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki is the only REAL Tenchi series as it was the only one where the original creators wrote and directed it. <center><img src="http://66.70.146.193/image/SigTHINK.gif"></center></a>

TU had a poor plot that bores you to death. TIT had poor anime that scares you away and not want you to return. They both suck equily, its just what you can tolarate more. If you can tolarate more poor anime, your good with TIT. If you can tolarate more a boring, off subject, story line then your good with TU. If you can tolarate both, you have a very strong tolarance. Chances are, your like me and think "They both SUCK OUT RIGHT!!!".
