Speaking about Funaho (the tree) Funaho (the queen said)

Quote:

"Royal Trees, loose their power once they find their roots in soil. Yosho.... Of course you understand, if we wnat to sustain their power we have to keep them charged by *our* royal trees. During the past 700 years, the ships that were missing... were your Funaho, Ayeka's Ryo-oh, of course Sasami's ship as well..."

In episode 13.

Take it of leave it, it seems to me to say that Space Trees, or what I call Arborial Starships, need to be "topped off" every once and a while by the royal trees ON Jurai. If they take root (IE cannot fly, nor return to Jurai) their power fades away.

This indicates the power base is specific to Jurai. Most likely eminating from the "Life Tree" Ayeka spoke of in ep 6 or 7. In turn we have the chicken and the egg delema of does the tree get it from Tsunami, or does Tsunami get it from the tree. Personally I think that Tsunami is just a projection of the royal tree life force. I further think that the Tsunami tree and therefore ship is simply the first generation of space tree and therefore most closly related to the Life Tree on Jurai. And therefore the most powerful (or rather can hold the strongest charge)

As for Jurai starting with pirates, I'll go back to my Trek roots and say, if it isn't on screen it isn't canon, and therefore while a nice guide and idea, it is not "official" yet. For further reference I point to an EARLY family tree that was made to keep the characters straight, in which is clear the name Kiyone for Tenchi's mother. (Yes this chart did predate the Achika references, which proves that the writers can break any preconceptions they like)

Fear is good, keep that. Cool! A friend of mine is writing down stories that I feel would make good anime. Yet I doubt if they were made they wouldn't have a big fanbase.

I am the one.

I am Tsunami's apprentice.

I am one of the few

able to produce

10 Light Hawk Wings!!

Pirate thing is covered in the mangas and the "books".

Well, according to the rules I know, which are admittedly fan made. In any television program, it matters not what the books may say, even official ones. If it's not on screen, it's not "really" official.

There is a certain logic in this, as the books can and at times are contradicted by aired episodes. I am speaking now of series in general, not just Tenchi.

Fear is good, keep that. Bahh, the books and manga are written by the creators.

It's not like Star Trek/Star Wars books who are just officially liscensed by their respective owners. I've read on multiple websites that the books, and manga-ed backstory both support that rather clearly.

So I would disagree in this case though in other cases you would be correct.

The information is not fan-made and the RPG book was just one of the places that verified it.

Fair enuff, but as for me, I'll still wait for it on screen. Besides, all that stuff adds up to way to much $$ and time to research it all for my writing.... =)

So it.......... how you say? Convienient?

^_^

Fear is good, keep that. Hey! I don't buy the books, I'm too cheap!

This is just what people tell me. I know this guy who is a little bit too obsessed with Tenchi at my college. I don't think he really likes much else in the way of anime or manga...**Shrugs** Oh well but he is like a trekkie when it comes to Tenchi.

You ask him a simple question and he goes on and on, and on and on.

**Shudders**

I can do the same for GW! Do you want me to demonstrate? Well, on second thought, that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment!
Neo

I am the next in a long line of Jurian Royal Knights.
I AM NEO KAMIDAKE!

"Yeaaaaaaaaah Buddy!"
-Brak from Space Ghost Coast to Coast

My knowledge is mainly of the plot and mostly MS specs. The characters aren't that complex, so I don't endevour to explain them.
Neo

I am the next in a long line of Jurian Royal Knights.
I AM NEO KAMIDAKE!

"Yeaaaaaaaaah Buddy!"
-Brak from Space Ghost Coast to Coast

I didn't know the plot was very complex, hehe. Not nearly as complex as the other Gundam plots. If you like GW you should watch the other series, which are much better in everything except cute main characters.

I do like the Gundams in Gundam Wing more then any other series...lest Gundam X which had one cooler mecha.

I haven't gone so far as to actually WATCH them, but I know about them. The ones I want to see most are Z, ZZ, and X.
Neo

I am the next in a long line of Jurian Royal Knights.
I AM NEO KAMIDAKE!

"Yeaaaaaaaaah Buddy!"
-Brak from Space Ghost Coast to Coast

Ho-Hummm what about the originals...the things that actually made Gundam what it was?

Are you afraid of old anime...I was to for awhile made shallow by the modern cell shading and CGI technologies of late...but when I saw how much better many of the older series were plot and character wise...jeeze it's hard to come back.

You should try watching some older anime...say like the original Gundams and maybe some Lupin (Quite possibly one of the best Anime's ever made).

Actually, I HATED 08th MS Team.

The story was too short, they didn't go deep enough into the main characters, and they didn't show much of their past.

I sort of liked the ending, but it was missing something, but who knows what toonami pulled out of the series.......

Thus it was done

"Every act of destruction has a repercussion"- Karn, Silver Golem

A star that burns twice as bright burns half as long

"An innocent man died because of my anger.
