Hey all, I just found out today that Ryoko had a new english voice in the OVA3 (Yeah, I know its prolly old news to most of you, but I haven't got the new ones yet.) Does anybody have a sound clip/sample of her new voice? I am extremely curious to hear it now. Thanks for any info. |

I think that sending Mona a letter bomb might be taking it a little too far Seto-fan1. I think that Mona is a good voice actor, I just think that Ryoko was the wrong role for her, that's all. You should go after who ever thought that she could play Ryoko. |

Then it's okay to say that there was a casting error, but don't blame Mona for that. It's okay to blame her if you think her acting was poor. Personally I think that she did okay considering what shoes she was stepping into. |

I do like Mona Marshall, I just hated her as Ryoko and think she's totally wrong for the part. x_x I was a Digimon fan back in the day, and to me, Mona Marshall will always be the voice of Izzy. She did a great job with him. I don't see why they thought she was a good fit for Ryoko though. She definitely wasn't and it was a terrible casting choice. |

Personally, I kind of like her new voice. It makes her sound like a whiny teenager, kind of like one of those alt-universe scenarios where all of the characters are teens. But as for the voice in the show, I don't like it. |

Change of voice acting is what fans have to come to terms with given the time and devlopment some shows can make, DBZ has to be one of the few shows that retains the core of it's voice actors even on the games still! However if a change of voice acting has occured then it has to be on some level not just a good voice in it's self but bear a similir tone to the orignal voice. Am 50/50 over the new ryoko voice, it's not bad but I think of half a dozen other voice actress that could do a better version of ryoko's voice. Speaking on voices, it wasn't ryoko's voice that disapointed more Z, I was never impressed by his voice despite his character traits. |
