I'm not 100% sure if that's correct. I do have a copy of the doujinshi where K-sensei tells that story, but it has yet to be fully translated. ^_^;;; I do know that the pre-cursor civilization did capture the giant humanoid Washu-sama (I use the term because this was before she turned herself into an infant some 20,000-years ago and flushed her memory). The pre-cursor civilization used her gems (yep, she had them back then too) and created three bioroids/clones of Washu with each one being given a gem (the bioroids being like the green-haired chick in Dual!). One of the clones went insane and the other two were dispatched to kill her. In the end, all three clones were killed, and the death scream of one of the clones (the one who when insane I think...by the way, I'm using the term "clone" loosely here) woke giant Tsunami-sama from slumber.

Now I'll have to see if I can get a confirmation or not, but I do believe that in the course of coming to Washu-sama's aid, Tsunami-sama wiped out the pre-cursor civilization. However, I'm not 100% sure on that, so you'll have to bear with me.

Because I know some rabid Tsunami fanboys who always bully Ryoko fans around as ppl who love criminals because Ryoko went on rampage and killed people during her time with Kagato.

For those who haven't done so, check out my site. I have some new stuff on Washu, Tsunami, the precursor's, and the ancients (pre-precursors as some call them).

That said, there is a piece of the doujinshi 21st Century that states that in the bioroid battles, Tsunami is awakened when B1 kills B3. B1 takes the three gems and goes to kill the sealed giant form of Washu. Tsunami prevents this from happening and kills B1. Those who witnessed Tsunami's appearance went on to found the precursor civilization.

To this point, I see nothing to indicate that Tsunami wiped out the precursors. In fact, she gave them two 1st-gen tree-seeds. I'm thinking that the heretofore partial information from this doujinshi gave folks the idea that Tsunami wiped out an entire civilization. I'll keep looking for materials and keep getting them translated (as long as I have a translator).

There's still so much yet to be explored about the three Bioroids (at lest for us English-speaking fans). I'm more curious about B1. Like was she able to bring out the three gems full potenital? I doubt she could since she wanted/needed the 'orignal gem'

For now I'm going to assume the 'orignal gem' is the giant Washu.

I doubt Tsunami killed off the precursors but she has a tendicy to be unpredictable. For example why would she save Washu from B1 than just leave her?

One thing this doujinshi has shown me is that there is a LOT more information in the Shin Tenchi Muyo! novels than the summaries we currently have tell us. It is frustrating that the novels haven't been licensed, but even if they were, an effort would have to be made on the part of fans to make sure they were done right.

How was Ryoko not controlled by Kagato? I mean she attacked Tenchi when Kagato showed up! Also her pupils dissapeard and had no expression(once in a while)! What sex and drugs?
