No, they aren't identical. If you play the DVD using audio [English] and turn the subtitles on, you will notice that there are differences when you use audio [Japanese] and turn on the subtitles. Funimation also runs a separate track for subtitling on their other DVD's, like Yu Yu Hakusho, which can be confusing. On those, you need to have Japanese audio AND Japanese subtitle on. I guess they include an English sub for hearing impaired or for those who want the dub [English] and a matching sub (for some reason). |
