I've been asking this question for months... c'mon now people... HAS ANYONE SEEN GXP EPISODE NUMBER SEVENTEEN??? To ME.. it appeared that the creators somehow wanted to portray Ryoko as some little SLUT and made it look as though she was flirting with Seina. (Ex: How anxious she was to go to the onsen with him? SNEAKING UP BEHIND HIM NAKED?) If this is true.. grr... they shall die.<br><br>Also, TU was created by the same people that created the OVAs, right? Ryoko wasn't flirting with Seina, she was teasing him. She likes to tease everybody, not just Tenchi and Ayeka.<br><br>Anyway, GXP was made by at least some of the same people as the OAV. I don't know if anybody from the OAV other than Masaki Kajishima was involved. TU, however, was not. GXP is very independent, its got its own set of people from the OAV and Universe. That is why after all it is a totally new story. BUT the original characters are there to add a homey touch to the series. <p></p><i></i>

To me GXP isnt a really big thing to me. Besides...i kinda recent it..even though they have the original characters there. Its just cuse...its w/ new people...and it upsets me how they do that. But they did however make me smile when Ryoko & Tenchi we're at least there for a lil while. ^__^ Im such a lighthawk shipper!! Yes GXP has new characters, but what is so wrong about that? Why does everything with the name "Tenchi Muyo!" stamped on it have to be a carbon copy of the OVA's? Like UA said, GXP is a completely separate anime, and maybe it should have been given its own name. That way the show wouldn't have to hunker down under all of the heavy baggage TM fans are going to foist on top of it. it still has tenchi on it, because it still has a high connection with the OAV. Galaxy Police, Jurai, Space pirates, Seryo and seina. PRetty Samy is an exception because it breaks the ties in the series, its a totally new thing, sasami is a magical girl and all the characters are there, but they have different names and do different things. <p></p><i></i>

It is actually is a sequal to the OAV. It takes place two years after the events of the first. The third OAV will probably close the gaps in the plot. I actually like ep. 17. probably the best episode apart from ep.24 and 25 <p></p><i></i>
