Are Ryoko and Washu immortal, or do they just live for 1000s of years?

They live for Thousands of years because Washu is a goddess and Ryoko being the daughter of a goddess, along with the power of the Jewels keeps them going, and with 3 jewels they both are immortal

I think Washu is immortal, but I'm not sure about Ryoko. They may both be.

Tenchi Muyo means, roughly, "No Need for Heaven and Earth". If you wanted it to make more sense, No Need for Tenchi - the title character. Humorously, it also means "This Side Up".

Hm, I don't see why Ryoko couldn't be immortal, at least in the sense that she doesn't grow old and die. She was created and not born, so maybe Washu didn't give her the ability to age.

Plus the whole "dieing and coming back thing" in GXP proves she cant be killed so, technically you could say shes immortal

Well GXP takes place about 1 or 2 years after OVA3, if i remember correctly, Ryoko dies when fighting Seto in OVA3, but in the Cameo appearance of GXP ep. 17 shes there, plus idr which episode of GXP but someone at GXP headquarters remarks or sees Ryoko flying around, this is 2 years after said "Death"

It has been awhile, but I don't recall a death. She may have gotten close to dying when fighting Mihoshi's brother (Minamino or something?), but she never fights dragon lady.

She's in the aftermath and everything.
