$7.99 per volume at F.Y.E. - on sale for 5/$15 - with the loyal customer dicount $2.70 per volume. Grabbed 5 different ones; and accidently got one that is a police dairy set - 2 dvds so a have a double I'll have to exchange. Still $2.70 a piece; even the 2 dvd set (New In Box) Well, for that price I will watch GXP. |

I didnt want to start a new topic, so... i'll do what i do best =) After seeing OVA3, (and being judged for asking "Who are these people?!?), i wanted to stay as far away from this as i could, but i broke down, and the inner Tenchi in me had to see it for perfectionist purposes, so i bought all 8 volumes at FYE for around 23 bucks (My FYE only holds GXP go figure, lol) Anywho Aside from being almost entirely based around Shotacon humor its a very meh series, it did make me a little more angry towards Kajishima-Sensei (which i will discuss in the end) but i digress, Seina isnt Tenchi but very well could be, of all the girls in his "harem" the one i gravitated the most towards was Ryoko Balta (not for her name, mainly because she was probobly the most calm the majority of her screen time, plus she was played by one of my fav VA's which helps, lol), idk just watching it felt..annoying? like his friends got old fast, Seiryo, god, theres a reason he lasted about 5 minutes in OVA 2, his persistence to Amane is funny the first 2 times you see it, but after that it gets dull, Ep. 17 deserves the death sentence, plain and simple, and the marrying all of them at the end? Whaaatt come on, which now brings me to what i said earlier, after seeing this series, this cements to me that OVA3 was completely filler. In all reality it is basically an extension of EP 17, GXP2, and its so maddening. it had SO MUCH potential, wasted on being a gap filling OVA, Airi and Noike waltz in like its no ones business, but everyone who skipped GXP is like "WTF?!??!!" then when you watch this you feel cheated, and as if to forshadow its ending, Tenchi marries all of them, i know i've ranted my fair share, but i basically spent 23 dollars to piss myself off even more about OVA3 As far as recommendations go for this, if your going to watch this, just... FORGET OVA 3 EVER HAPPENED or otherwise your going to be dissapointed, i give it 4 out of 10, its got its original parts, but its soul-crushing forshadowing of OVA3 does it in |

He was clumsy, and unlucky, and his voice bothered me alot, i really hope if an english dub comes to SNT, they dont go down the same path they did with Seina, ....guhh (pushes him into volcano) i was never a big fan of Amane, it was like if Kiyone had the sex drive of Ryoko, in a cougar kinda way, it just didnt fit and i'm glad you agree, Tenchi Muyo GXP wasnt worth the watch |
