I don't know for sure, but it's possible they had pictured Fuku back then as part of the series - even before GXP.

Second, i agree with you, i much prefer a single *cough ryoko* girl choice as opposed to the harem, but what will be will be

and i think that the other cabbit by Tsunami is just another ryo-ohki, i dont remember the exact episode but when Tenchi gos out to get carrots, there are like a million ryo-ohkis and they all have a carrot and can act apart from each other

Thanks for the welcome guys! Tenchi is my spring/summer time anime, so I've been watching it. I stumbled across this board when I was googling something about the show. n_n It's interesting to see just how deep Tenchi's roots go, back when I was a kid watching Tenchi on Toonami, I never dreamed that there was so much I didn't know about the series.

Its kinda hard to imagine (especially when your little) that their was SO much backstory to an already big plotline

I found this board while watching TU (my fav), i had kinda re-awakened my "Inner" Tenchi a month or 2 before and am re-hooked, this board has cool people on it, stick around

yeah, gotta love how when you re-awaken your love for a series you realize so much more about it. Always thought the OVAs and Tenchi Universe were the same!

I remember when they showed TU for the first time right after OVA2, i was like "wait why are they retelling the stories differently?" i had always thought something had happened where they left for a little while then came back (i was like 9 - 10 cut me some slack, lol) it never really felt like it was different

I had, back in late 05 when vol 1 of OVA3 came out, i got it and never watched it (i dont remember having a whole lot of free time back then, lol anywho) then in early april this year i found my Universe DVD's and was like "HEY TENCHI", a couple days later after watching i found that first volume i never watched, needless to say i was instantly excited "hell yea new tenchi i havent seen" so i looked up online to hear how good it was, to find for the first time ever on anything tenchi, being called "terrible", "bad" "and a horrible way to end the series", plus petrea burchard wasnt coming back, my heart sank, and i knew i didnt want to watch it, but i fought past the reviews to watch it, and needless to say

XD Nope. Never happened. Universe is the true OVA 3! Sure, the characters may have all suddenly developed amnesia and forgotten each other and had to meet up again... but I mean, come on. That's happened to everyone at least once, right?

Exactly, and like its been said before, if you just take out the first 4 or so episodes, assume little things (IE assume Washu is still Ryoko's mom even though its not explicitly stated every 5 seconds, along with other things etc) TU is a great sequel/Continuity to the first 2 OVA's (plus there is that whole "700 year old mummy woman" blip during the time and space adventures that adds to that)
