I like harem ending. I want a big family:D

First off, OAV3 wasn't even "harem." It just continued the show as it went. Tenchi wasn't engaged or doing snoo-snoo with them all yet. It was no more harem than OAV1 or OAV2, which are excellent, in that regard.

Second, GXP only ended in harem in last 2 episodes. Other 24 (Over 92%) of episodes probably sucked already to begin with. This had nothing to do with harem concept and just bad writing.

Three, do all lousy shows that have only boy-girl pairing prove that boy-girl monogamous pairing is bad? Does, say TinT, prove that Tenchi choosing one girl is always bad?

I don't dislike harem endings because of OVA 3, I just dislike them in general. In some series maybe I would feel differently, but in Tenchi a harem ending would feel so bland. Maybe it's because Tenchi himself is bland. He hardly shows any actual interest in any of the girls, so for him to pick all of the girls just seems like a cop out. To me it would be less about love and more about "well, they're all here, I don't want to hurt any of them, so I'll just marry them all and solve the problem." It would make him being with all of them seem like more of a chore and a solution to a problem than anything else, because I've never really felt he was in love with any of them. He may "love" them as in family or close friends, but in the OVA I've never gotten the sense that he has much romantic feeling towards the girls. And the addition of more girls in the 3rd OVA seems to support this. "Oh well, another girl that I'll have to deal with. Just toss her in with the rest." Maybe I'm way off base, but that's just the way I see the OVA personally, and that's the reason why I don't like a harem ending.

yea i guess thats true, but even you cant get away from both of those endings, Sasami or not, Tenchi's got a thing for Ryoko

Eternal Memory was stupid. Poor Sasami ended up dying. Plus in the end, it cancels itself out by saying "Oh, well, that's just one future that could possibly happen but it might not." What a waste of time.

I never read Eternal Memory, i got the impression someone just threw it in later to expand on a possible outcome afterwards based around Sasami, so i never payed it any mind

You're right. I guess since she wasn't in the movie much, they wanted to explain what she was doing on Jurai. It doesn't really fit too well with TU, it fits better with the OVA, despite the fact that it's based on the 3rd movie. Tsunami is in it and so is OVA Kagato. It's kind of cute, I suppose, but overall it's pointless.

Well like previously stated, TU was definetly geared at Tenchi/Ryoko, the OVA was the harem, TiT was like the harem but not as suttle with a definite push for Ryoko (the whole date thing, his constant going back to those pictures, the ending), thats how i accept them for the most part, i kinda wish we could get a movie from the OVA continuity (excluding MnE) or one that could expand on TiT

An OVA movie would be nice, but if there was going to be a movie, I would want it to take place in a pre-OVA 3 setting with the old artwork. None of the new stuff, basically. XD Maybe a prequel to the events of Tenchi. And TiT has some potential too, when Yugi wakes up.

I would like a TiT expansion only in the fact when Yugi wakes up she WONT be Sakuya, she'll be Yugi, and would probobly have a relationship similar to what Sasami has to Tenchi now, because i couldnt do 90 minutes of another Sakuya, or in the OVA sense, 90 minutes of Noike, sorry, lol
