But I have another problem D:

What file do I convert to so that Windows Live Movie Maker will recognise it? The video I convert is alreayd a Quick time one, which movie maker recognises. However when I have converted it into this file again but this time only a certain clip it comes up with a red cross :( I tried to convert it and get the clip into that Windows Media File thing but it didn't work either D:

I guess this is where it could get tricky, since i still have Vista.

If movie maker already recognized it as a quicktime video, then that should still work just fine.

If worse comes to worse, I could always track down the clips your using and I could take a shot and see what I can do with them if you'd like

No I don't want you to have to go to any trouble!
I tried just converting it to quick time again, it didn't recognise... hmm...
When I have more time tomorrow i'll do a wee bit of experimenting and see what happens. I'll try loads of different options and such.

Something isn't right- i'm telling it to cut the video at 1:08 to 1:10 and it gives me a clip of the video that lasts 2 minutes, not even from the starting point I want! When I put in 0:01:08 to 0:01:10 it just gives me nothing at all!
