Ryoko's got another 15,000 years to go on her mom, but a lot of potential, most definetly
especially with the power of the gems and lighthawk wings (which her mother cant produce)

well the royal palace was in flames was it not? as Dagon says referring to that scene. i mean if your attacking an empire and u actually make it to the royal palace and destroy even part of that, you've done damn well. The thing i like about Ryoko is that amount of potential she has. in the current OVAs, yeh, shes just a crazy teenager basically, with not a lot of self control. however if you look at Ryoko's mother (Washu), well that could be a a glimpse into the future of how great she could become. maybe not in any scientific way particularly but she has the same blood in her veins and the same great potential. give Ryoko time and she will surly become something great. |

There is nothing to say her mom can't produce them, and honestly, Washu-kami probably is producing them in that picture above. Notice how the wings are coming out of the gm of the throat directly and not from Ryoko's body (or whereever) and that the symbol on Ryoko's forehead is of Washu-kami? In the attack on Jurai, the gems took over Ryoko's body to stop her.... and not the other way around. I think the same thing is happening there and it's all Washu-kami. Even the 101 says when Ryoko reaches her full potential, it's in conjuction with Ryo-ohki, not just herself. Ryoko will always be secondary to Washu in power. |

I couldn't care less about how powerful Ryoko is, honestly. I'd still like her just as much even if she was an ordinary human in terms of ability and strength. So even if she never compares to Washu...oh well. It doesn't make much of a difference to me. Though I would be very put off if Washu-kami is controlling her, even temporarily. I don't see what Washu would gain out of doing that. |

She wouldnt and i dont think she does, like i said, i think Rolfy up there just isnt giving Ryoko any credit for her abilities or potential there of (not the biggest fan if you couldnt tell lol) I would love her either way, i'll always love that blue haired space pirate  , i was just proving my point that she can be a force to be reckoned with, almost if not to goddess status
