1. In the OAV, everyone and everything comes to Tenchi's house because of Yosho. The girls are the one positive.

2. Then the poop hits the fan. Yosho decides to stop fighting, passes himself as too old, and lounges around while everyone goes to space, it turns out that he has severely underprepared Tenchi battle-wise, Tenchi dies (in episode 5) and Tsunami has to revive him.

3. Yosho tries to get out of job as emperor and foist it on Tenchi (episode 13).

4. In TU, Yosho couldn't finish the job against in his youth, so it's up to Tenchi and the girls to complete it.

5. In MnE, the crazy Yuzuha takes out revenge on Tenchi because of what Yosho did several hundred years previous. Apparently, in the Tenchi world, when someone wrongs you, you wait until they have grandkids and take it out on them.

6. In TMiL2, Yosho has a crazed girlfriend he dumps (six feet under) and she thinks seducing his grandson is a good next move or something. Nothing like grandpa's sloppy seconds.

7. Yosho thought up of TinT when he was bored one day.

It's time for Tenchi to light hawk Yosho's dumb ass.

To be fair to Yosho, I don't think number 5 was really his fault. I mean, he went up to meet her on that hill to be friendly, and he tried to keep the guards from beating her up.

But yes, Yosho does need a good beat down. He's just irresponsible and seems to want to foist off all of his duties onto his grandson.

He is kinda lazy, and unwanting of his duties, matter of fact, almost everytime hes acted like hes too old, hes sprung right back and whipped tenchi, wow yosho, you need some light hawk sense knocked into you

Can you blame him not wanting the job? No one liked him.

His family loved him, just no one else in the empire did, but you gotta admit, all the stuff hes put Tenchi through, is a little much for a 17 year old kid, even with godlike powers
