Yeah, the filler was good. Actually, the only filler I can remember is the episode with Sasami and the ghost girl, and the one where those two punks stole the ship. |

Time & Space Adventures. Lifted from the OAV Radio dramas. Would make no difference to plot if they were there or not in terms of plot. |

Well generally thats what filler is, but they did that for Universe, because of the "were taking a twist on the OVA" |

I don't think it was that planned out. I don't think the Time and Space adventures are 'canon'... I think they took it because it was several episodes they didn't have to think out or write too much, work already done:D |

I never said it was canon, lol i just said it was filler and it made since in the Unverse timeline because of tagline thats on Tenchi Universe |

I liked the Time Space adventures. They were some of the best episodes in the series. So that was some tasty filler! |

The first one in fuedal japan and the last one with Ryoko and Tenchi were the best "Come on Tenchi lets just Run away, lets just DO it" Good times =) |

You can bet from dollars to dinero to donuts that anytime you hear a dub line stretched out or an extra word put in or something that gives it a 'that sounded a bit odd', it's the VA stretching the line to make it work with the sync. Sometimes it works in reverse and you hear what sounds like a speeding through of a line but it's all to make the time sync work. Real quick case in point. In the baby Taro episode, after Tenchi passes out and Sasami is waving a fan at him to cool him off, he thanks her. JAPANESE: Arigato, Sasami-chan. ENGLISH: Thank you...Sasami. Matt K. Miller stretched the thank you a bit and there's a hair fraction of a pause. It's not that noticeable, and it really only comes after listening to dub and sub over and over again. You get curious as to what differences there are. I know...maybe....five words in the Japanese language but I can hear the subtleties in the original line and how the outstanding dub cast (who prolly had a fantastic voice director) translated the timing and tempo of what needed to be said into a performance. |

Humorous answer: Tenchi couldn't remember which girl he was talking to. Real answer: on occasion doesn't that happen in the English language? Mannerisms are also taken into account by dubbers. |

Absolutely and if it was an ill-performed moment or bereft of motivation, people would notice it and not in a good way. It was a very good read of the line but nevertheless, I'm pretty sure that the reason the line was read that way was because 'chan' doesn't translate very well into conversational English. |

Well its not there to begin with, honorifics in english are translated in to the manner in which we speak to the person at hand,you could say they translate to Miss, Mrs. or Mr. but their not the same thing, i knew Kagato's VA was doing it based on the movement of the mouth when he did it twice, once when attacking Tenchi on earth and the Other on the Soja |
