i was wondering, are all the characters the same age, but just drawn to look older ( just for the movies sake), or are they actually older in the movie? if he latter is true, then this is truly fukin depressing, because that means in all the time they've been there, there has still been no progression in any relationship with Tenchi.

No they are actually older in the movie, maybe not quite a year, because Tenchi had been gone for 6 months when Nobuyuki talked to Katsuhito and was like "Hes been gone for 6 months you'd think he'd let us know" then there was the whole time Aeka and Ryoko spent in Tokyo, so yea

Tenchi just wishes Nobuyuki hadn't gotten Achika, if only Achika was from his time she could be part of the harem. Toss Noike and Kiyone mom out and put Achika into the OVA. I never liked the way they portayed his mother in the OVA, they make her look crazy or something, writing on Tenchi pranking him. Who the heck dies in their sleep sitting up anyways >_>, she's such an odd character
