Well I rewatched MnE for this one and I suppose you're right, the slap probably couldn't have been avoided. Tenchi did make up for it afterward with his apology. I definitely rationalize it from Ryoko's perspective a bit more still because, like you said Dagon, she knew something was wrong with Mayuka and that she was bad news for Tenchi.

*On Topic* SPK I just watched that AMV and it was really well done. The music went well with the scenes and it was paced very nicely. I favorited it ^_^

I should have listened to Sonata Arctica before, it reminded me of the type of music you see at the begining of modern day anime stuff, like gundam or something

4. Sorry, I disagree. The ending is very optimistic for a Ryoko-fanboy such as myself.

Though I was sad that Ayeka up and gave up near the end... thought she was stronger than that.

I always loved the ending as well, I mean the majority of it was depressing but right after the second time they went after Tenchi i knew things would look up

yeh the ending was nicely done, but still....no fukin kiss!
and that's why it depresses me. really in the end, everything went back to normal
nothing changed, there was no physical progression in the relationship between
Ryoko and Tenchi. i mean she's saved him how many times now? proved and shown
how much she loves and cares for him how many times now? still he does nothing,
stares into the distance like a nob.

depressing and aggravating.

Yea i was waiting for him to put his arm around her, or for him to say i love you or something, we'll just have to live with the last line each of them spoke as a hint of whats to come
