I was just curious what everyone's favorite episodes of Tenchi are and why. My favorite episode was Episode 1 of the OVA because it was the first episode I saw , and the episode that captured my interest in the show. Ryoko was too mysterious for me not to come back every week and watch it on televison. Keep in mind before you share that this discussion will allow the inclusion of all Tenchi series.

Hm, it's hard to say. Episode 1 was my favorite episode of the OAV. For Universe, the last episode was my favorite, but I also enjoyed the 1st episode and the 3rd Time and Space adventure a lot. If I had any other favorites, I can't remember them now. x_x

Episode 6 of the OAV: Where Tenchi becomes the Knight in Shining Armor to rescue Aeka on Sasami's Request, and bonus (for him) getting to meet the beautiful maiden Washu.

Episode 9: Tsunami walks around as ghost, just to get a touch of Tenchi here and there, Sasami pours her heart out to Aeka and runs to Tenchi XD, Washu shows sisterly/maternal love to Sasami/Tsunami's plight.

For the OVA Continuity

OVA 1, EP1

Its the very first episode i ever saw, and thats all it took to be completely mesmerized by the series

For Universe

thats a tough one, the time and space adventures were really good, hmmm i think i'm gonna have to go with the ep 26, just too perfect

Same for Tokyo, the final episode was one of the only episodes where i wasnt seething at the teeth so, lol

i 2nd a lot of these.

but as for mine:

ep 4 of universe springs to mind instantly. i love the sense of adventure in this ep, and pretty much all the dialogue between Tenchi and Ryoko whilst in the cave is hilarious. of course how could u forget the fight with Akeya and Ryoko pulling each others cheeks xD

ep 1 of OVA obviously, its just magical, a true paradigm moment in anime.

TiT: Ryoko + going back to pirating = THANKYOU! i was actually kinda hoping she would turn bad in the end

countless other eps in universe too really, its a really fun series.

oh and the one on OVA where ayeka and ryo are reading the mangas and trying to win tenchi over in the most ridiculous of ways. the part whre tenchi goes: "Ryoko whats wrong with you!" and grabs her shoulders and shes like pretending to be all shy haha and then SLAM! "my you are a bold one!"

I kind of liked TU's retelling of Ryo-Ohki's birth as opposed to TM!RO's because it was just more fun

plus i loved this scene

yeh ryoko is hilarious when she goes into her bullshit act xD
like the whole first ep of TU is her pretending to be pursued by mihoshi
imagine if she kept that up for whole series lol.

Well, she wasn't pretending... Mihoshi DID attempt to pursue her.

It was just the 'OMG A SPACE PIRATE IS AFTER ME' part. Yeah, that.

Yea, of course she was hammered so she wasnt all there, but Mihoshi is a bit over her head when it comes to Ryoko

I loved when Ryoko intentionally ticked Ayeka off by saying things like that Tenchi was the father of Ryo Ohki's egg and that they should kiss in front of everyone to show each other's love. Those moments cracked me up

as for Mihoshi, shes been well endowed by the oldest of the Chousin Goddesses through blood so she'll always get her perp, and still be silly, but the conflict there is Ryoko is the daughter of said goddess so, it'd be a close one
