I hate to have a downer topic, but TinT was one of those good forums. They just called it quits, I just visited this site 2 weeks ago and was unaware of this>.> http://tenchiintokyo.org/ Thread where they talk about it: http://tenchiintokyo.org/forum/15/t-5027.html I was at this site a long time, since 2003. It was great back in the day, although the Tenchi talk ceased about mid-2000s. They tried branching out into different things but it just didn't work. This is the second site this year;.; Good luck to everyone there and thanks for discussions the past years:) |

You know even though I was never apart of that forum, its still hard to see another sect of Tenchi fans disappear (not to say they still arent fans but), I mean when you read 2000 to 2009 its like "I can't believe its really been that long" *wave of Nostalgia comes roaring back* |

A sad moment, *I'd visited the site on occasion. This just proves however, that our activity is a very great thing. As long as there are a few Tenchi boards out there, the series ain't dead. |

It's sad to see another community fall apart like that, it looks like they were pretty tight knit too |

They were tight knit, but it lose Tenchi focus about 2004-5 and they type about other things. That is why I not visit so often though. |

Well, things come and go, I'm sure most of them have each other's emails and so on, so they themselves aren't lost at sea in the ocean of internet groups. And Tenchi doesn't seem that popular with many of the anime groups I've encountered. My sister is the otaku fiend, so through her I meet some real 'fans' *cough*dorks*cough* /tangent Tenchi doesn't seem nearly as big as other animes popularized in America, from what I've seen, so either the popularity is falling, which is natural as newer things are introduced to younger crowds (ie Tenchi replaced something some parents may have found interesting) OR it just wasn't as popular as we thought, and we may in fact be the only people putting it up on a pedestal. I know I do. Really the only anime I watch and everyone gets an earful as soon as someone brings up anything Japan related |

Well yea newer Anime are always catching a younger generation of kids, but Tenchi is no third-rate anime, up until about 2003 is when it started loosing fanbase and popularity(in america at least) (Tenchi Forever was somewhat of an ending to most "first-run fans", then Toonami got a whole new wave of people into it) its considered the god-father of harem anime, The first 2 OVA's are considered MUST SEE anime by almost anyone who watches it, its had what 5-spinoffs? including the pretty sammy stuff which is still big in Japan, trust me crumpets its earned its status as a classic |

I'm anxious for them to do another series, hopefully using the original cast, booting mona, and pronouncing Aeka properly. I and many others would be very happy fans if they did that. I need another series here stateside ASAP. If I had a bunch of money I'd do everything in my power to get the ball rolling on that. |

I want to hear the OVA1 cast back, Jay Hopper, Ellen Gerstell, PETREA BURCHARD, Honestly if Geneon Japan put a price tag like 300USD on that series, i'd pre-order the damn thing, no questions asked because i knew i'd be getting the best of the best Whats holding me over is Saint Knights Tale and a project i've been putting together lately, and alot of hope, lol |
