Incest is in every part of Tenchi. Every matchup, Ryoko included, involves people mating that have familial ties to one another. I realize that the AiriXTenchi is a bit more explicit of a pairing but then again so's banging your great aunt (AyekaXTenchi) or marrying your brother (YoshoXAyeka). In Real Life, this would be icky ewwww but in the Tenchi world - it's kinda shrug and move along. As I understand it, she's also not Tenchi's grandma. Didn't Yosho get to know a local woman in the biblical sense and from that mating begat Kiyone from whom Tenchi came? Is Airi your most convential pick? No. But then, that's why I chose it. |
