Why is Tenchi Muyo suddenly being ressurected?

I see a sudden upspike in activity here, Ayeka.net, and fanfiction.net after all these years....

Are they showing it on TV somewhere?

Not really sure, after Toonami died I started to go back and watch all my favorite old shows over again, maybe others are doing similar things? Whatever the reason it's quite an interesting occurence.

Well I'm not sure about everyone else, but I remember what got me back into Tenchi. Last spring (2008) I was at my college between classes and taking a walk in the forest behind the school. It was so pretty, all the trees were in bloom, and it was just very peaceful and nice. I thought it looked like something out of an anime series, and that made me think of Tenchi Universe and the forest in the series near Tenchi's house. So when I got home that day I thought about how much I missed the series and I looked it up on youtube and they had all the episode. So I started watching, and that got me back into it. I eventually bought the boxset of all three series on E-bay.

Like I said, I'm not sure about everyone else. XD It's not on TV, at least not that I know of. I think maybe old fans are getting nostalgic, looking it up, and then seeing "omg, that old series has new episodes?!"

I got back into the series last year, and I am on various forums, and have at least got 4 new Tenchi anime fans :3 Sadly none of which are here xD Might link them.

But yeah. I had been curious about the anime for a while last year after my big cousin and me were remembering all the old TV shows we used to watch :3

Ayeka.net? Another tenchi forum? Or dedicated just to Ayeka?

Actually I think Ayeka.net like both Tenchi Muyo and Ah My Goddess and other anime of that era.

It is not dedicated to Ayeka, but it should be! (I see mostly general fans there, like here). I ask why they choose that name>.>

I know for a fact on Youtube there has been a resurgence of Toonami fans looking at old anime, Since the beginning of Summer (Late May?) A couple of people have been getting large numbers of members trying to "Bring Toonami back" and on everyone's list of favorites or in there video's has been Tenchi at least once, Plus Saint Knight's being subbed helps too

I know I'm a black sheep but I liked Outlaw Star more then Cowboy Bebop, not that Bebop wasn't good, just enjoyed the first more

I never watched CB, but I liked Outlaw Star a lot. Back when it was on the air, I LOVED Harry McDougal. XD I liked Aisha a lot too. And Fred. Outlaw Star was a great series, but it was underrated.

I'd say it's nostalgia, people are starting to figure out today's TV sucks.

Tenchi's not getting really really popular - Ayeka.net is a general site that I love and frequently visit; the only Tenchi-centric board is here, though I wish some of the games would get more attention. Forums go through summer slumps usually.

I wouldn't say we went through a summer slump, it was more the opposite here lol, and I know it hasnt been getting A LOT of attention but more then it has say in the last 2 years
