Ha! I got a crack out of the Misaki OAV 3 hate crime thingie. On that note, check this out. Click on "Articles" and read a deleted scene, and a funny bit between evil Misaki and Tsunami/Sasami. Back on topic, I can't comment on GXP since I never could bring myself to watch it. I've been thinking of looking for episodes on Youtube or downloading a torrent so I can say I've seen it, then immediately delete them from my hard drive before they corrupt everything, unless, of course, I wind up liking it (unlikely), but then I'll have to go buy the DVD set and hoard all the inserts. As for OAV 3, it is my opinion that the reason why Tenchi went downhill was because the writers were simply trying to cram way too much story and way too many characters into way too few episodes. That whole story arc could have easily taken up the time of two OAVs on its own! It's simply too big of an undertaking to try and add so many new characters, develop them, and keep the story going strong all at the same time and within such a small amount of space. Think about it, things were moving pretty slowly epic story-wise during the first two because they were making us care about each of the characters. The first OAV introduced them to us, and developed mostly Ryoko and Aeka pretty well while hinting about a larger plot behind-the-scenes. The second OAV developed Sasami and Washu the most and began to slowly bring the larger story into the light. The third OAV should have developed Mihoshi and introduced Noike (since she's Mihoshi's partner in this one), and developed her as well. They could have grown together. A fourth OAV should have then been created to give focus to the Choushin and their story. This way, we wouldn't all hate Noike, as she'd become familiar to us, and the other characters wouldn't just sit on the side, either. They just tried to do too much at once! Basically, OAV 3 had a good plot, but it had a rushed plot and I felt like more questions were raised than answered by the end of it. Oh yeah! And the voices. To me, it sounded like none of the VAs were giving it their all this time around. Everything sounded like a regular anime dub to me, which is sad, as I had grown to like the Tenchi dub almost as much as the original Japanese - a rarity for me! There's a few reasons I can think of as to why this might be. A.) Everyone was tired of these roles. Maybe they just got bored and decided not to do their best. B.) Funimation has crappy voice directors. I hate Funimation's dubs. C.) Removing Petrea Burchard destroyed the chemistry between the actors. I don't know if they record their lines together or not, but if they do, then removing Petrea would certainly affect the others as well. |

OVA 3 was a dissapointment. For one thing- WHAT THE ACTUALL FECKING HELL DID THEY DO TO RYOKOS EARS? They were like twice as big! I did like the whole Mihoshi and her Brother thing though. Made me laugh out loud on several Occasions. Noike is an annoying and somewhat ugly addition to the beautifull Tenchi girls (After she gets her hair cut anyway) BUT- There was alot of cuteness from Ryo-Ohki! Loved Seto, even if they did totally ruin some things about her and her family's history. I quite like Washu in the new Art style also. It's their eyes, I thought they were really lovely in this OAV. And Tokimi! Cuteness and such ^_^ Love Lady Tokimi. And wait, HOLD THE PHONE! Naja can't be that clay seal girl, becuase Kagato hated women because of Washu, and thats what split him, and she knew Naja before that right? Does anyone wish they would start a new OVA, but this time, it would be about who Tenchi picks? As this Ova was all about the Godesses and such. Oh and original VA's of course! |

Its set roughly 15 to 16 years later, the funny thing is though because they are all either goddesses Jurain or a mix of both they won't look any different, lol |

Yeah xD What about Kiyone though? Oh wait, is she not included cause she isn't in the Oav? im guessing not since Tokimi has a role in this. |

Yea well Kiyone was replaced by Noike =(, and Tokimi has been added, along with Airi and Tennyo, so thats what 9-10 girls |

Wish Nokie would just like, LEAVE and stay permanently in the GP Headquarters or something. >:[ SHE RUINS THE IMAGE OF THE GANG! Airi and Tennyo don't though. Although the fact they slightly hit on Tenchi is... weird to say the least. But hey, this IS Tenchi xD |

Exactly, every woman that is around him suddenly feels the urge to thrust themself onto him, except Noike, she was payed to play the role however she seemed all "interested" in him |
