It's Sharyn Scott (dubbed singer) and Chisa Yokoyama (orignal Sasami) doing a duet of "I'm a Pioneer"! This is from a concert of theirs, and there's a lot more videos from it. I'll post them if you want.

They are from the "Heaven & Earth Band: Live in LA 96" VHS, there was also a cd for it

and Sharyn is a MUCH better singer, lol

Well yeah, Obviously, since Chisa had to sing the English lyrics when shes Japanese. Even though she speaks English, it can be still hard to hold a great tune (especially when in comparison with a singer like Sharyn). She has a Japanese/American accent at the start, its cute :3

Loved that opening. People said it was the worst but I liked it alot ^-^

Something I kind of wish they had done for the english Universe ending was, there were 2 endings to Universe, it was the same ending song but was sung by the Seiyu for Ryoko and Aeka (One for each of the different ending videos) I wish they had done the same for Jennifer Darling and Petrea Burchard, that would have been soo cool, as they both have very good voices

Thats true, all the main opening and ending sung songs were translated, I guess because theres so much of that in Tenchi it was an essential, even all the songs from Pretty Sammy OVA were translated

I loved "I'm a Pioneer" and the Tenchi Universe opening, they sounded good, even in english. Usually the songs suffer from translation in my experience, but in this case they did an excellent job!

And they sounded good to boot, usually (as far as i've seen with some shows) the english songs are just horrid, Tenchi is a testament to great english translation!

Tenchi is a testament to great anime in general ^_^, quality product all around, we won't count any of the FUNi newer Tenchi series (I is looking at you FUNi)!

They just might, although I've grown really attached to the Japanese opening. So much so that I added it to my Zune and listen to it a couple times a day, I'm kind of afraid of hearing it in English now

lol yea I'm a bit apprehensive about whats gonna happen to the english version, as long as Kenshi doesn't sound like Seina I'll be fine

It's going well, a little bit delayed right now because I've been getting a bunch of homework. It'll certainly be up before the weekend is over though, I have to work on pulling some more sources though. I'm pretty sparse right now xD, it's tough to find good info on many sites. When I google it, I get like five actual sources and 10 gagillion torrent sites
