I've said it before and I'll say it again: Noike is the poor man's Kiyone in my opinion. I didn't care for her much in the OAV but I don't understand the rabid dislike you all have of her. I don't think she's ugly but I will agree that the haircut isn't doing her any favors.

So in the spirit of finding our chi and repulsing the monkey, I'm making this thread to bash/love/hate/etc on Noike. Get it out of your systems, folk and let's see if this thread will make epic status!

Hm, I take it that her name means fish? (Or it's the name of a breed of fish.) Most of the results you get when you search for Noike are pictures of fish.

I think Noike could be very pretty, but it's her role that kills her.

Everyone has had the experience (or will have in the future, trust me!) of the 'new guy' at work who hasn't invested or proven themselves in your workplace, yet is beloved by supervision for whatever reason and can do NO wrong, no matter what. promoted above their peers, not by virtue of hard work or experience, but merely by a sayso from someone who wants them to succeed.

everyone feels cheapened and hurt by such sychophanism in real life, and also by what they see on shows. because, if you've been the victim of such overt favoritism, when you see it on tv you re-live that experience and have no empathy for a social climber like noike when you, the viewer, have no seto getting you all the good gigs. stories of people overcomming adversity and doing well, we can identify with, because some of us have already done that or it encourages us to continue to strive. waiting for a sugar-mamma is a pipe-dream, and we all know it and resent those that have one. it's merely instinct. we can't help but hate someone who hasn't shed blood with us, but has charmed her way into a status above us with powerful outside help. working in the carrot field sure as hell doesn't count as much as nearly losing you life for someone. i sense a sychophant.
