What difference is it to bash Noike or to "bash" Ryoko?

Bashing Ryoko will get you killed by Ryoko fans. Let's face it, you'd have to be suicidal to bash a character like Ryoko, who has an amazingly large fan base (including me). On the other hand, Noike has no fans. In fact, pretty much everyone hates her. Bashing her is like bashing Barney the Dinosaur - no one cares!

I can take them on, easy. I ask more like Ryoko fans act if you "bash" (or criticize her with facts) you sin, but they do same to Noike.

It is like Ryoko character. She acts tough and brazen, but moment someone take her on, she cry.

Well of course fans don't like to see their favorite character bashed. The difference is that Noike has no fans (at least not on this board) so who cares?

In all seriousness though, I didn't want to join a few Tenchi boards because of some Ryoko bashing.

But eventually I figured "I want to talk about Tenchi." So I joined this board. The choice to join or not is their own. If they don't join they don't join, if they do join then they can defend Noike and tell their POV about her, and maybe change some minds. But either way, no one is forcing them to post or not post.

I don't get this thread either. Jibri, you bash Ryoko even though there are fans here who probably don't like it. So we're not allowed to bash Noike because there might be fans who don't like it? Ryoko is the only one allowed to be bashed and we just have to take it? That's not very fair.

It's a loaded question, because who said there was a difference in the first place? Everyone can (and will) bash whoever they want. I don't remember anyone (except for maybe one person) telling you to stop bashing Ryoko. We might debate the point or ignore it, but hardly anyone ever said "stop, you're being mean!" You're allowed to bash Ryoko and we might not like it because we're Ryoko fans, but you're still allowed to. The only difference is the amount of fans on the board. That's it. Bash away, if you want. Have fun.
