Funny thing about this third degree stuff is, not all my posts are of the long-winded variety. Those are just probably my most memorable ones, though, I guess.

Thing is, I'd really like to debate this. I mean, I remember my last debate surrounding this subject here was with Dagon, because I kinda took umbrage, a.k.a. disagreed, with the insinuation that Sakuya was about the same as Noike in terms of, let's say, stealing the series, and to be honest with you, that discussion was pretty fun. It was back and forth, point-counterpoint-countercounterpoint, no namecalling or idontcarewhatyouthinkism, and I think I made a bad blanket generalization or two in there, but after I got confronted about it I explained it and owned up to my mistake, so it was all good. But as far as this one goes, I'm gonna have to pass, at least for the time being. See, I'd like to know that people are not gonna be heavily butthurt about receiving a counterpoint, and somebody telling me that I can suck a big fat donkey dick when they don't even know me in the internet-poster sense just because they heard that I don't share the same entire opinion as they do, doesn't exactly help that. I mean, it would be partially excusable if I didn't think my opinion over, but… yeah, me and not thinking an opinion over at all kinda doesn't match. And I don't think I'm the only one here that way.

Matter of fact, I think a few of my peeps here should keep that in mind for their own debates here nowadays. Sure would help the atmosphere a little bit.

I miss having intelligent debates with you champ ^_^ while we don't always see Eye to Eye, they are fun, and completely worth the time

Exactly. If you're gonna tell someone you disagree or think they're wrong about something, come with actual valid counterpoints related to the argument at hand, and don't be afraid to give them the benefit of the doubt anytime you actually agree with them or can see where they're coming from. Therein lies the difference between a debate and an argument. Where people are capable of mostly sticking to this and owning up to when they don't in debates, in arguments it's always about being right to the point of shooting down absolutely everything the other side has to say, even sometimes resorting to strawman arguments, nonoandnoage, idontcarewhatyouthinkism, name-calling, and never in any of those instances actually owning up to it.

A lot of what's been going on here lately has skipped past the debate point and clearly spiraled into arguments. And, once again, arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics - and I'm gonna leave it up to that terrible picture spk once posted here to tell everyone why.
