If you were doing OVA 3, how would you do it?
If I was doing it I would keep the focus on Tenchi and the girls. There would be no Noike in my OVA 3. I would also make Z a bigger threat then he was in OVA 3. I would get rid of Mihoshi's brother. I hated that we wasted a episode on him, which really had nothing to do with the main plot. I would also get rid of the whole female Kagato plot.

I wouldn't make OVA3 right away, I would make a movie about Z and the Choushin first, instead of trying to put slice of life with "OMG He just blew half the planet away" The movie would focus on the Choushin plot and not have things feel rushed so it would make Z feel like a worthwhile character and give it a good feel, I would also kill off Noike though, kind of like how Sakuya disappeared in TinT, after Z got done using her she disappeared, I wouldn't introduce any new characters in the OVA though after the movie, NO GXP characters, I would throw hints that they existed yes as after all, GXP was made first, but I would NOT include them in there, I would focus more on the household and whether or not Tenchi gos after the throne of Jurai (and the journey there as i've heard they all end up going there, but theres obviously more to it then that), and kind of have it end somewhat like Universe did, I'm debating on whether to end it Pro-Ryoko or actually have him pick everybody, but thats how I would do it

I would have ryoko go crazy and take over the world. tie her mother up and throw her ass in the liitle inter-dimensional broom closet under the stairs. she would take out noike when she finds out she is spying - and there would be much rejoicing. kick the jurains off the earth and start her and shack up with z, minus that back-stabbing tenchi. sweet.

I've got a list if that's okay with you guys ^_^.

-Bring Petrea Burchard back to voice Ryoko. Sorry but Mona Marshall just cannot do that part well >_<...

-Never bring Z into the story, he was a crappy character in the first place. Replace him with the character that was previewed in the second OVA and get rid of his weak sob story about his father's death.

-Akawoa also hates the pacing of the episodes in the third OVA. There's literally a jump from Tenchi walking outside to Washu yelling a warning, to the earth being halfway blown up. It doesn't help that the first couple episodes were essentially recap episodes with little or no plot.

-Bring Ryoko's old personality back please. I hate the way they made her cower at every little thing, it's pathetic and demeaning. I prefer the stronger, happier Ryoko from the older Tenchi stories.

-The re-dubbing of Ryoko's part in the flashback portions. It's bad enough that I had to have Mona replace Ryoko, but now I have to hear her ruin classic Tenchi scenes too? Icky, the way Mona says R-yo-ko she enunciates every syllable to slowly to match it with the lips in the scene. It was tantamount to a slap in the face for a fan. Not just because it was Ryoko, I'd feel the same if they'd done that with Washu or even Tenchi as well. It's just that it made me angrier that they did that to my favorite character >_>.

-The length of the OVA was all wrong. The way they spent so much time on flashbacks was awful. They could easily have stretched it into nine or even a couple more episodes and solved multiple problems. I also would have liked to see the "canon" doujins animated, because I felt that they contained information that would have been pertinent to the plot. I'm specifically referring to the Misaki/Tenchi confrontation that occurs in the doujin that Jibril posted a couple months ago.

- Ending was trash, talk about an unresolved problem. The whole wedding with Rea just distracted everyone from the fact that this is the supposed 'end' of the Choushin arc. If that's the case, shouldn't we have had a more conclusive resolution? I felt that it was unfair the way they did it, they gave no indication of what was going to happen in the future for Tenchi. I don't even care necessarily if he picks Ryoko or even the whole harem, I just would have liked to know what actually happened. I especially was curious to see if Tenchi was going to go to Jurai and take his place at the throne.

Anyway, that's longer than I wanted to make it, but I'm curious to see if anyone agrees with me on any of the points that I mentioned.

As far as the inconclusive ending goes, Kajishima said in the interview where he first announced OAV 3 that he already has a storyline in mind for OAV 4. So, that's probably why we didn't get much of a conclusion for OAV 3.

I did that for a fan-fiction story I created.

Also, there was a fansite that proposed the idea that the male Kagato was an energy being encased in a containment field. It was that field that Tenchi destroyed in the fight and the 'vapourisation' we saw was his energy dissipating. Until I found out about the whole clone masu body thing, I thought it was a good theory.
