Yes I saw the first two OVAs. There's a big difference in cutting a ship in half and surviving a black hole, and being able to screw up the universe.

There's a big difference in having the power to survive a black hole and having the power to break ten dimensions.

Just to clarify - Tenchi didn't just escape a black hole. He changed the Gravitational Constant, one of the fundamental forces of the universe. He bent space-time to his will. He made reality his bitch.

Also, he didn't break through ten dimensions. He broke through 8 or 9, since he started on D3.

It's long been stated that Tenchi/Tenchi-kami-sama has infinate energy. There is no villian that can over-power him. That's not what the OAV is about.

My original point was that I feel that OVA Tenchi is too powerful. It can get boring if the main character of a story is too powerful. Look at Superman. Some people don't like it when a character is overpowered.

Anyway I have a feeling that the next villain will be a villain who knows that he can't overpower Tenchi so he'll pretend to be a ally to Tenchi and the girls.

Well, that's fair enough, although I have read good stories with omnipotent characters. And I doubt there's going to be a 'villian' in OAV4. If he's going according to plan, it'll be a character series, focusing on relationships and personality.

I am new to this board. If I have done OVA3, I will still introduce Tenchi's sister Tennyo. Then I will add a female rival closer to Tenchi's own age. The rival could be one of Tenchi's many female cousins, or a local girl. The rival had met Tenchi before during his summer visits to the shrine. She does her best not impose herself on Tenchi. Ayeka, Ryoko, and Mihoshi will be literally upset over their rival, esp. since she is closer to Tenchi's age.

I will focus more on Tenchi's family. I will include the references to Kiyone's death. After Tenchi meets his sister Tennyo, he is plague by a dream about another female. Mihoshi is present in the dream as a reference. The female in Tenchi's dream turns out to Tennyo's and Tenchi's older half sister Miyuki Kuramitsu. Miyuki's mother and her father had an affair before Miyuki was born. The last name os Miyuki's father is Kuramitsu.

Information about Miyuki is still sketchy. The information which I found about Miyuki came from Wikipedia.

I wouldn't let Kajishima touch it. Or Yosuke Kuroda.

Throwing the project to Hayashi and/or Hasegawa would have certainly produced far better efforts.

Kajishima could give George Lucas brilliant insights on how to ruin a franchise:

KAJISHIMA: "Y'know George, you should really make Chewbacca the main villain in the new STAR WARS movie."
LUCAS: "Won't that be a little senseless and stupid?"
KAJISHIMA: "Hell yeah, it will! Just have a gigiantic Chewie pop up in space, inexplicably destroying shit."
LUCAS: "Should we lead up to that? Give any clues that's gonna happen or-"
KAJISHIMA: "Absolutely not. Just show giant Chewie naked, in space, with weird wounds. None of the other characters should ask any questions about it, or refer to it all at the end of the movie."
LUCAS: "Should I drink heavily while writing the script?"
KAJISHIMA: "I like the way you're thinking."
