Something that popped into my head today was if Ryoko remained a wanted criminal after Universe ended. Tenchi said that Ayeka was very forgiving at the end of the affair and did not hold anyone responsible. Do you think her forgiveness extended to the point where she cleared Ryoko of all charges? Tenchi had to make it to the Jurai Palace somehow to save her, surely he told Ayeka at some point that it was because of Ryoko. Ryoko was good in Azaka and Kamidake's book too by the end of it. But then again, the final episode did show a scene with her wanted poster still hanging and Nagi was still looking for her. Any ideas? |

Well, I would imagine that Aeka would have dropped her charges as well out of respect for Tenchi's wishes. However, her criminal record extends outside of Jurai's teritory which may explain why she was still a wanted fugitive at the end  . That's an interesting question though, I hadn't even considered it until you mentioned it.

Thats true. I suppose the galaxy police could still pursue her. In a few episodes (can't recall which) I kinda got the impression that Jurai ran the Galaxy Police, or at least had an influence over the GP's actions. So I figured if Jurai drops charges, GP does too |

yeh i sorta got that impression too but i think its more the case of; they are both prominent authorities so they just work in cooperation as opposed to being enemies. I'm sure that theres a bit politics going one behind the scenes too - certain agreements - which the show never really addresses.\ but yeh, as Aka say's even if shes cleared with Jurai, it doesn't mean she's cleared with the GXP because there's probably crimes she committed that have noting to do with Jurai anyway. i do hope she would be cleared with Jurai though. i would think ayeka, even being her opponent in the whole love triangle thing, would be thankful that Ryo helped save her life and "wipe the slate clean" so to speak. |

I'm pretty sure Nagi would still be chasing her as soon as she finds out Ryoko is still alive. |

I think openly she would have forgiven her but Ayeka seems like she might hold a grudge. Especially against Ryoko, but thats just what I think. |

It's nice that Aeka forgave Ryoko, but the legal system doesn't work on feelings. The paperwork for Ryoko's arrest warrant would remain until someone actively went after rescinding it. I'm guessing that the Jurai government would have done that considering Ryoko's assistance in overthrowing the Tenchi Universe Emperor Kagato. I'm sure we all remember episode 24? It just might have taken a while to get that done ... speed of the legal system, ya'know. :P |

yeh OVA Ayeka is more noble than TU Ayeka. But Jib, even when Ryoko sent her down that dead end, its not like she had any reason not to. They were both still enemies at that point. Ayeka had only just attempted to arrest her a few episodes back (despite Ryo being legally pardoned), so i don't see why Ryo shouldn't have been looking for every opportunity to get rid of her. Still, Ayeka has gone to save Ryo twice, that is true, but i doubt it was out of any concern towards her safety, she probably just wanted to be sure of Tenchi's safety. |

Ryoko also saved Ayeka during the battle with kagato. You guys got some pretty hardcore rivalries when it comes to ryoko and ayeka. Ayeka started it anyway. I'm kidding. Kind of. |
