This specific title, "The Viridian Collection" aka OAV3 from Funimation, had ~6 reviews last year that rated it 1.5-2.5 stars. Now it has 26 ratings giving it nearly 5 stars! The jump in ratings don't make any sense for a title that's been out for a while. But if you look closely at the ratings, THEY ARE INCORPORATING REVIEWS from completely different Tenchi titles, which is pushing the star rating up: Go to the 3rd page, there are many ratings from 1999! For an anime that got released in Japan 2003-2005??? This is BS, Jibri used to trust Amazon's star system - now they lump everything from under the sun and give you a false sense of that anime. They often had grouped reviews of original products and re-releases together ( this is especially annoying if you want to find out what the new special features are if any ), but this is news to me. Thanks for the heads up Jib |
