Hypothetical question. From what I've seen people discuss on here, it seems like the first Tenchi movie was supposed to be a continuation of Universe. My question is, even if Kagato defeated Tenchi, and he gets away with being the impostor Emperor of Jurai, would he have eventually gotten killed anyway once Cain escaped? In the movie something is mentioned along the lines that even if the current Jurai emperor had nothing to do with Cain's imprisonment, he still hates him. Any ideas? |

Yep, KAIN was out to destroy everyone with the Jurai power, so he'd have eventually have gotten round to Kagato, given that he was so powerful. If he hadn't died in the series, I imagine he would have been one of the first to go. |

Which would mean Tenchi was defeated by Karg, meaning Tenchi dead, Ayeka and Sasami imprisoned (or somthing) and Ryo eventually seeking revenge. I'm not sure of whether or not TU Ryo is capable of beating him but if she did then he wouldn't be around for kain. If she didn't it would be up to MIhoshi/Washu and the GXP. Then what would hat mean for Jurai? War? or maybe GXP would launch some sort of covert operation and attempt to assassinate him. Theres many who could get to Kagato before Kain, it would just depend whether they beat him or not. |

Given both his personal and political levels of power, I find it doubtful that any character seen during the show could have killed him. |

I like to think that Kagato is more powerful then Kain, since I think that Kain was a boring villain. I really don't think that the writer's put much thought into how powerful the characters are. Tenchi(TU) has power that surpasses his grandfather. Kain defeats Tenchi. Achika kicks Kain's butt in the movie. The movie makes it seem like Achika is more powerful then both Tenchi and Yosho. |
