Okay here are my Positive AND Negative criticism when it comes to EVERYBODY (OVA) as of this point in the story (excluding yosho and nobuyuki)
TENCHI:
Pros: Very nice Character Progression as far as powers so far. Near the Beginnning, he was only a human capable swordsman no where near strong enough for most people in the series(even sasami could have whooped his ass), even with the Kagato battle, his powers weren't really under his control like they should have been, but by episode 20, he seems to have a VERY nice grasp on his powers, EASILY teleporting in space and summoning his LHW( 6 by the way which is so much cooler than 3. Maybe he will make the new 3 wings a LHW motorcycle or something lol), and then dominating Seina in the bike Race in GXP

Cons: Really horrible romantic situation with the girls, It really needs to be shown how in world that omake comic and the girls babies will come to be with him so shy towards females in general, hell he's 18 now, he should be more than just nose bleeds at this point, his little brother does better than him, see how kenshi and yukine hit it off very well when they are together, no question they definitely like each other, tenchi's relationship with at least somebody needs to start developing soon

RYOKO:
Pros: Really nice character development towards other characters. She even could be considered to have a Love/Hate sister relationship with aeka. She's really made it clear she is comfortable with the housing residents and you can CLEARY see a harem wont be a problem with her, as long as she gets her time with tenchi.

Cons: Not enough Romantic Development towards Tenchi...Maybe Ova 3 is to blame for this, but by episode 12, after Ryoko fused with Zero, she was suppose to be more open with her feelings, and I don't see it. Look how at the end of episode 12, she's basically an earlier version of yukine from SKT. She was so damn lovey dovey, she ran for cover (that was ryoko's cutest point for me). I HIGHLY believe if she acts more like that towards tenchi, she will DEFINITELY see results with tenchi quicker than her old way, but once again, maybe ova 3 is to blame.

AYEKA:
Pros: Love how she stays the same in the OVA and doesnt transform into her TU/TIT Bitchy counterpart, she insteads stays classy and polite with few objections only towards ryoko. Even when she finds out Noike is the "official" fiance, she keeps her cool even though she is upset about it.

Cons: Can't really think of any note mentioning cons, not saying she's perfect, its just that kajishima didnt really do anything to her that made me a lil disappointed AS OF NOW lol

MIHOSHI:
Pros: I still LOVE the fact the Mishoshi is usually the sole reason why everything involved with the tenchi crew turns out to be a huge success because of her randomness....quite frankly making her a stupid genius. She saved washu, she was the first to find Dr clay, and she kept Tenchi away from danger from misao(even though we all know he wasnt in any real danger). She is also probably the most straight foward and most likely closest to getting with tenchi. He appears super calm when he is alone with her(which is very seldom)

Cons: Well do i even need to explain this? we ALL know how her character has changed....she WAS SO EFFIN hot during the beginning of the OVA, was def one of my favs. She was what kiyone makibi turned out to be in my opinion. Major letdown how ova 3 just killed her. I like how she made SO much emphasis on being with tenchi, but they didnt have to make her a bumbling retard...

SASAMI:
Pros: So now we know she can kick ass, thats cool cause most animes, the lolicon role always has to be protected someway.

Cons: I mean come on, its sasami, what has she really done to you? lol Well the english dub is EXTREMLY annoying....but lucky I don't have to deal with it, just like I didnt care about the ryoko voice change, my seiryo stayed the same, so everyone had the same voice for my eng subs.

Washu:
Pros: Still love the fact that she doesnt act all needed towards Tenchi, but when she gets around him, he better watch out lol, she clearly doesnt care about the getting to know you procedure, she's act the i'm ready to bone, then get married lol. She even wants his baby...now

Cons: I just wish she would show her mature form a little more...and after awhile the "chan" is gonna have to go, what the hell that feels like? We are doing it and I'm calling you chan...not a good look, even for Jurai lol.

Noike:
Pros: A lot of people felt she "dominated", no I feel she made order in the house, making it easier for tenchi. Washu could have done it, but she liked to watch the skirmishes... Of course we have to see her alot now, we are JUST NOW meeting her, after 2 ovas have passed, so she had catching up to do. She also wasnt a I love tenchi spend the rest of my life with him either, she likes Tenchi, and I feel her feelings for him are the most normal out of all the girls, just like real life....I like this person, lets see where it goes from here(which CLEARLY goes well as we see her getting her freak on in OMAKE lol)

Cons:Rushed, rushed rushed. The WHOLE THIRD OVA should have been about noike settling in the house and the goddess saga, screw the misao, Airi, SETO, and tennyo stuff, we could have learned about that in gxp 17 in flashback form. The history of her past should have not been just a small flashback on her past, a whole episode should been centering on her childhood warming us up to her and truly having tenchi bond with her, basically what happened in episode 20, but a whole episode long and not just a 5 min flashback...and the hair didnt have to be cut so low...hair at neck level would have been decent

Ryo-Ohki
Pros: Same ole cabbit/humanoid. Cute, lovable, creature. Loved the quality time with ryoko...

Cons: not really a con, I just wonder what ryo-ohki looked like before she bonded with chibi, cuz i think she had more than a ship form before then...

I liked the english Kagato voice over the original. It seemed to generic for some reason. The english one had style.

I wouldn't say that I hate any of the Characters in any of the Tenchi Continuities, but the bottom of my lists for each continuity is thus

Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki - Noike; because I feel that the "Bringing the Hammer Down" on the chaos that was the Masaki House kinda took away a little bit of the fun, and there really wasn't enough time spent developing her character as a member of the cast. I'm not saying she's a bad character, but she definitely needs to A) lighten up a bit more and B) be expanded upon. Right now Noike has a lot of potential as a character in the middle to upper echelons of my Fave Tenchi Character List, if Kajishima-sensei decides to expand her story at a better pace
Tenchi Muyo! TV (Tenchi Universe)- A bit of a tough one, but I'd say Kiyone Makibi, she just didn't strike a chord with me the way the others did, not by any fault of character, just personal preference
Shin Tenchi Muyo! (Tenchi in Tokyo)- Sakuya Kumashiro; because she did what the other girls couldn't. She locked the boy down as a significant other, And when I was fourteen, that irked the piss out of me. I think if I went back and saw the series now, I might emphasis on might appreciate her character more.

I'll never understand the Mihoshi hate.

Noike, Tokimi, Airi, and Washu in her chousin form are the only characters I absolutely hate. They are jerks and completely walk all over people.

I also absolutely hate Washu in her chousin form because of her terrible, ugly, MC hammer outfit. She suddenly became a bitch when she got her memories back or whatever happened during OVA 3.

Tokimi is just a jerk since the beginning and I was seriously like..wtf...when she showed up at the Tenchi place and was like "lol we do what we want, right Washu?"

Airi and Noike make me want to rip my eyes out. They both have terrible hair and are overall just uncool bitches. I don't like how Noike came in and took over, I don't like how she treats Mihoshi, and I hate her personality. She seems like the kind of person who would serve you cake with poison in it with a smile. Airi has all the same qualities of Noike and for some reason is super powerful. Why is she beating up Ryoko? Why is Ryoko not fighting back? Go back to terrible GXP you terrible, incest practicing, annoying, rude, skank.

I guess I also hate the original characters in OVA3, because they all became push overs and it was painful to watch my beloved characters get walked all over.

that the conversation is over or not open to discussion. It's also a method of asserting dominance
