It never struck me till now, but is Mihoshi a depiction of a dumb blonde sterotype? |

More of a classic ditz. I figured the skin and hair tones would either be a) marking her as distinctly alien (foreign) to Japanese audiences or b) make people think of ganguro girls. Plus, in the OAV we have the explanation that she was once quite intelligent and capable in the past. And the other versions just took the ditz/childlike aspects and played with them. |

I just figured that she was the general dumb blonde stereotype. I guess Japan have it too then? But Mihoshi was really intelligent before 'that' incident. |

Mihoshi just seems to have the classic anime dumb-blonde stereotype, only with her it's funnier because she's so odd! While I was over in Japan, I think I only saw one instance of someone with the "ganguro" style, but I was unaware of what it was at that point.. |
