The Hitoshi Okuda doujins can be found either on ebay or amazon if you're looking to procure print copies, and if you google "The All New Tenchi Muyo" mangas but you can see the scans of the "No Need For Tenchi" manga series here (Okuda did both of them). http://www.mangafox.com/manga/tenchi_muyo/ |

Nice to see you, Akawoa. I wouldn't consider the Tenchi manga dojin, as - while it's unofficial canon-wise - it was published by a company, and not self-published. Fun stuff. |

thanks, reading the Shin Tenchi series right now. I wish it had more Tenchi awesomeness in it... only thing that i didn't like about "No Need for Tenchi" was the fact that there was no need for Tenchi in it... |

Okuda never goes further than the OVAs did, in fact I don't even think he goes as far as them. |

There are a couple of partial nudity and suggestive scenes, but very few of them, and the newset re-prints edits them out anyway. |

Yeah, some of it. I've only noticed it in the first series, since I have two versions. I can understand then editing the scene of Sasami and Washu in the bath during the cooking contest, since not everyone enjoys DFC like I do. But why censor adult Washu and Mihoshi in the house filming episode? You didn't see anything, and it takes away from the humour. It just doesn't make sense, especially considering they had no problem with it the first time around. |
