ANB and many others claim poor subtitles, which is rather likely. The other things about the old sets are just fine. Unless they have Mato re-translate at least the OVAs, they're all a skip for me - although my sets aren't the real thing, they're all signed by Petrea Burchard, so I'll live. |

Whether they redo the subs or not, this is welcome news for me because I've been slow and have yet to update most of my Tenchi collection to DVD. So looks like I will get the chance to do that fairly soon. ^_^ |

I'll probably buy this too. I don't really watch anime anymore but all the classics from when I was younger, I'd get. The only full set I have is NGE and a few dvds of vampire princess muyo. |

Good to see you again Tenchi Ryu! Sadly, those prices are better'n those old OVA box sets went for way back when on DVD - and Japan is infamously expensive. edit: wait, that's in the thousands not the hundreds... WHAT? The dragonboxes costed less than that. |

*shrug* Basic supply/demand dynamics at work. Apparently they feel someone will bite at that price. If/when FUNi brings out a Blu-Ray set, expect those prices to drop like jet-propelled rocks. |
