There seems to be the absence of a third major power in the Galactic Union. The two greatest powers in the Galactic Union are the planets Jurai and Seniwa. When Minami had allowed his grandson Misao to use the Chobimaru, he could have started a major war between Seniwa and Jurai. Jurai and Seniwa will rather resolve their differences and share power than fighting a war which could destroy both powers as well as the Galactic Union.

If there is a third power, there are two candidates for the third power, the planet Airai and the Galaxy Space Academy. Airai and the Academy are an importance presence on the Galactic Union. Airai is the homeworld of the most popular and most powerful religion in the Galactic Union. The Academy is the central world of learning and science in the Union. It is likely that the Galaxy Space Academy and Airai are tied for the rank of third power. Both powers seem not to want the rank of third power. For the third power must be able to deal with Jurai and Seniwa.

For any world to become the Galactic Union's third power, it has to have the strength to deal with Jurai and Seniwa. Jurai and Seniwa do seem to have major low points in their relationship as allies, on a few occasions. The incident with the Chobimaru is an example. Jurai does have its share of Union Allies as well as Seniwa.

Jurai and Seniwa do seem to be well aware of their responsibilities of being the Galactic Union's two major powers. Seniwa and Jurai work together on helping rest of the Galactic Union in dealing with the current crisises. One of which involving the Deluma Pirate Guild and its allies. At first, there seems to be no need for a third major power on the block.

Oddly, there is one candidate for the third power rank. Both Jurai and Seniwa have express a lot of attention on this candidate. The other members of the Galactic Union are starting to notice the candidate. How can one backwater world with a primative civilization can evolved into the Galactic Union's third major power?

The answer for question is a matter for fanfiction. Yet, the world which one day become the third major power seems to be the planet Earth.

Earth is a Jurai coloney world. Airai is the second major power in the galaxy. It's supposedly almost as large as Jurai-controlled space. The Galactic Union is a seperate entity to all three.

I am merely speculating on the world which may be the third power. The world known as Airai seems to be tied with the Galactic Space Academy as the third powers. The Kuramitsu Family are the rulers of the planet Seniwa. The Kuramitsu Family is second in power to the Jurain Royal Family.

Jurai and Seniwa are members of the Galactic Union. It is likely that many worlds which are members of the Union were once colonies of Jurai and Seniwa. In Tenchi Muyo GXP, Lady Seto describes how a colony can become an independent member of the Galactic Union.

I do wonder about Earth's status as a colony. Its status as a colony may be a result of members of the Masaki family settling on Earth before Azusa's and Yosho's arrivals on Earth. Earth was recently annexed by Jurai after Yosho's arrival on Earth.

Only a few people on Earth are fully aware of the Galactic Union. Earth was given protectorate status by Jurai. As a protectorate, Earth can be seen as a colony of Jurai. Earth is in Jurain terroritory.

Oddly, the region of space where Earth is located has seen only a few pirates. The Space Pirate Guilds seem to focus only on hit and run raids in the region of space where Earth is located. Yet, the Deluma Guild seem to have been interested in setting up more operations in th region before Seina join the Galaxy Police.

Earth seems to be already known in the Galactic Union as an oddity. Carrots, chocolate, and popcorn have already become popular within the Galactic Union. All three items have originated on Earth.

It seems that it take some centuries before Earth can become an independent member of the Galactic Union. Under normal circumstances, Earth will likely become a minor power. Yet due to some recent events, Earth is likely to become the third power. Even if the majority of its people may want it to be a minor power in the Galactic Union.
