Too bad I don't really have any friends that I keep in contact with with0in a 100 mile radius...o.0;; Moved to this town 5 months ago and went threw one semester of college and didn't make any friends really...and I'm not really a shy person. Hey DF,<br><br>I just started attending college at this university this semester and I haven't really made any new friends yet either, of course this time around I am in an apartment instead of a dorm, and I only have two classes so it is a little harder to meet people. I thought about clubs before, but my current college didn't have any clubs about anything I'm interested...there isn't even an anime club. If you want friends that will follow you anywhere, just get AIM. But don't expect people from this forum to IM you. They're all jerks. Except me! I'll IM you!

But seriously, the best way to make lasting friends is to strike first. Talk to them about something first. Just remember, when you're talking to people and you're scared of them, there are two tactics that work.

1. Just hold them in contempt. Find something bad about them and think of yourself as better than them. not so much that you hate them but so that you're not scared of their opinion anymore.

2. Imagine them using the restroom. You won't hold them on such a high pedestal, and hey, when are you more vulnerable? Right? Right?

Eh. Go with the first, it certainly sounds better.
