The Tenchi OAV was based off the Manga, it featured all the main cast except Kiyone basically. <br><br>After the OAV's initial success they released the Tenchi Universe was released on television.<br><br>Pioneer is well known for releasing different series with the same characters in different roles. They seem to enjoy it very much.<br><br>Other series they've done this with are El-Hazard and Battle Athletes. <p></p><i></i> |
